Machine-learning classification of myocardial infarction and ST/T-change ECG phenotypes across complementary evaluation settings
Abstract The primary PTB-XL outcome was an operational ECG phenotype defined by myocardial infarction and/or ST/T-change diagnostic superclass labels, rather than adjudicated active ischemia. Public ECG datasets were harmonized to 10-s, 12-lead, 100-Hz inputs. Patient-disjoint PTB-XL partitions were used to compare an age/sex baseline, a downsampled-waveform logistic-regression model, a compact residual network, MiniRocket–ridge, and a fusion model.
Serotypes, sequence types, and erythromycin resistance of maternal colonizing group B Streptococcus : implications for neonatal early-onset disease prevention
Abstract Intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis for maternal group B Streptococcus (GBS) colonization depends on the assumption that a woman identified as colonized receives an antibiotic active against her own isolate, an assumption that routine susceptibility reporting may overestimate when inducible clindamycin resistance is present.
Understanding women’s underrepresentation in senior academic roles: an integrative framework
Abstract Despite decades of gender equality initiatives, women remain overrepresented in entry-level academic positions worldwide. This integrative review examines the barriers that hinder women’s career progression in academia, the mechanisms by which these barriers exert their influence, and the strategies women employ to address or resist them. To do this, 569 empirical articles selected from the Web of Science (published between 1991 and 2024) have been analysed.

Clinical Characteristics and Prognosis of Thromboembolism in Elderly Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer
1 Introduction The relationship between potential cancer and thromboembolism was first described by Trousseau in 1865 [1]. Patients with cancer are more prone to develop thromboembolism because of a hypercoagulable state [2]. Thromboembolism consists of venous and arterial thromboembolism (VTE/ATE).
Transforming Cellulose Into Functional Three‐Dimensional Structures
1 Introduction The ongoing energy crisis and environmental deterioration pose significant threats to human life.[1] In alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals,[2] it is imperative to promote responsible material consumption and production practices to achieve sustainable development. However, the reliance on fossil fuels and petroleum-based materials presents a significant barrier to transitioning toward cleaner and more sustainable alternatives.
Pairwise encounters boost bacterial motion by transient velocity spikes
For swimming bacteria near surfaces, pairwise encounters inevitably occur and impact their social behavior. However, we know little about how the encounter events influence bacterial dynamics due to the limitations in tracking interplaying bacteria in 3D. Herein, we elucidated the motions of encountering E. coli using a combination of 3D holographic tracking experiments and hydrodynamic simulations.
Non-Fault Detection Scheme Before Reclosing Using Parameter Identification for an Active Distribution Network
1. Introduction With the rapid development of clean and renewable distributed generation (DG) [1,2], traditional passive distribution networks have become active networks, and this transformation not only improves the complexity and diversity of the distribution network [3], but also brings new challenges to the traditional protection and fault handling modes.
Non-Fault Detection Scheme before Reclosing Using Parameter Identification for Active Distribution Network
You are already at the latest version Aiming at the problem of blind reclosing in permanent fault in active distribution network, a non-fault identification method before three-phase reclosing based on parameter identification is proposed. After the three-phase trip of the fault line, the distributed generation (DG)is used to simultaneously apply three-phase symmetrical low-frequency voltage excitation to the isolated line.
PVDF-HFP/EMIM: Otf film-based self-supporting ECL sensing system with CB[8]/Cu NC host-guest strategy for piR-36743 detection in gastric cancer ascites
Gastric cancer (GC) is the fourth-highest mortality and the fifth-highest morbidity in the world [1], [2]. GC Patients have poor survival due to the low rates of early detection and diagnosis. In China, the overall 5-year survival rate of GC patients is less than 50 % [3]. Therefore, it is necessary to develop novel detection methods with high sensitivity and selectivity for the early diagnosis of GC.

Preparation of novel gallic acid-based dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer adsorbents for rapid adsorption of dibutyl phthalate from water
Phthalate esters (PAEs) are commonly used as additives in industrial production to improve the performances of polymer materials and reduce production costs(Burgos-Aceves et al., 2021). However, it is important to note that PAEs have the potential toxicity (Yonggang Lu, 2017; Seyoum and Pradhan, 2019).

3. Results 3.1. The Response of Soil Organic C and Soil Labile C to Biochar The addition of biochar changed the SOC content, and the SOC content increased with the increase in biochar addition (Figure 1). The highest SOC concentration was added to the biochar treatment with 42.00 g·kg−1 (BC4), and its content was 2.94 g·kg−1. Compared with the addition of 0 g·kg−1 treatment (BC0), BC4 treatment significantly increased SOC content by 122.00%.

Integrative proteomics and metabolomics analysis of non‐observable acute effect level PM2.5 induced accumulative effects in AC16 cells
Abstract Chronic exposure to very low ambient PM2.5 has been linked to cardiovascular risks in epidemiological observation, which also brought doubts on its safety threshold. In this study, we approached this question by chronic exposure of AC16 to the non-observable acute effect level (NOAEL) PM2.5 5 μg/mL and its positive reference 50 μg/mL, respectively. The doses were respectively defined on the cell viabilities >95% ( = 0.354) and >90% ( = 0.004) when treated acutely (24 h).

Microgel reinforced zwitterionic hydrogel coating for blood-contacting biomedical devices - Nature Communications
Abstract Zwitterionic hydrogels exhibit eminent nonfouling and hemocompatibility. Several key challenges hinder their application as coating materials for blood-contacting biomedical devices, including weak mechanical strength and low adhesion to the substrate. Here, we report a poly(carboxybetaine) microgel reinforced poly(sulfobetaine) (pCBM/pSB) pure zwitterionic hydrogel with excellent mechanical robustness and anti-swelling properties.
