A non-canonical EZH2/TRIM28 epigenetic axis drives heparan sulfate remodeling and melanoma metastasis
Abstract Melanoma progression is driven not only by oncogenic alterations but also by epigenetic programs that remodel the tumor microenvironment. Heparan sulfate (HS) proteoglycans are extracellular matrix components that control growth factor signaling and cell-matrix interactions, yet how chromatin-associated factors regulate HS remodeling in cancer remains ill-defined. Here, we identify the histone methyltransferase EZH2 as a regulator of HS biosynthesis in melanoma.
Role of STX1A in Parkinson’s disease: evidence, mechanistic hypotheses, and translational perspectives
Abstract Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by degeneration of substantia nigra dopaminergic neurons, α-synuclein pathology, and widespread synaptic dysfunction. Syntaxin-1A (STX1A), a presynaptic Qa-SNARE protein, is essential for synaptic vesicle fusion and also interacts with proteins involved in ion-channel regulation and neuronal excitability.
Efsubaglutide alfa added to metformin improves glycaemia with β-cell functional responses in type 2 diabetes: a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-stage adaptive phase 2b/3 trial (SUPER 2)
|
Abstract Efsubaglutide alfa, a long-acting humanised GLP-1 receptor agonist, was evaluated as add-on therapy to metformin in adults with type 2 diabetes. In an operationally seamless adaptive phase 2b/3, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, phase 2b randomised participants 1:1:1 to Efsubaglutide 1 mg, 3 mg, or placebo for 12 weeks; based on phase 2b efficacy and safety, an independent committee selected 3 mg as the recommended phase 3 dose.

Identification of immune-mitophagy related gene in PD based on single-cell sequencing and Mendelian randomization
Abstract Parkinson’s disease (PD) involves dysregulated mitophagy and immune responses, though the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. To identify key genes linking these pathways, we integrated single-cell RNA sequencing (GSE157783) with Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, screening mitophagy-related genes (MRGs) and immune-related genes (IRGs).

Efficacy and safety of insulin glargine 300 U/mL versus insulin glargine 100 U/mL in Asia Pacific insulin‐naïve people with type 2 diabetes: The EDITION AP randomized controlled trial - Ji - 2020 - Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism - Wiley Online Library
1 INTRODUCTION Based on the 2017 International Diabetes Federation Global Diabetes Atlas, the Asia Pacific region has a high burden of diabetes.1 China had the highest number of people with diabetes globally (114 million) and the highest treatment costs (110 billion international dollars). South Korea and Taiwan had approximately 3.5 and 2 million people with diabetes, respectively.
Efficacy and Safety of Insulin Glargine 300 U/mL versus Insulin Glargine 100 U/mL in Asia Pacific Insulin‐Naïve People with Type 2 Diabetes: The EDITION AP Randomised Controlled Trial
Aims To compare the efficacy and safety of Gla‐300 versus Gla‐100 in insulin‐naïve people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Asia Pacific. Materials and methods In this open‐label, randomised, active‐controlled, 26‐week study, insulin‐naïve participants with T2DM inadequately controlled with non‐insulin antihyperglycaemic drugs were randomised (2:1) to Gla‐300 or Gla‐100.
