Efficacy of physical therapy for prevention and treatment of postoperative lymphedema in breast cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Lymphedema represents a prevalent complication following breast cancer surgery, for which effective interventions can significantly reduce incidence rates. Aims: This systematic review and meta-analysis explored the clinical efficacy of different physical therapy interventions on breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) in postoperative patients with breast cancer (BC).
Consumer preference, externalities, and corporate social Responsibility in a Cournot duopoly
This study constructs a duopoly model considering consumer preference for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and negative production externalities, examines the equilibrium results under different CSR decisions, analyzes the impacts of the CSR level, consumer preference, and negative externalities, and further explores the optimal CSR level. The results indicate that the CSR level, consumer preference, and negative externalities influence the equilibrium results.
Analysis of potential categories of depression in older adults with chronic illness
The Third Hospital of Xi’an, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China Objective: This study aims to explore the prevalence of depression in older adults with chronic diseases and to identify heterogeneous subgroups within this population. Additionally, we seek to investigate the influencing factors associated with depressive conditions among older adults. This study aims to provide a foundational reference for the development of targeted intervention programs.
Which policy can better promote technology R&D? Subsidies or nationalization?
ABSTRACT This study constructs an industry chain model that considers government subsidies and the proportion of state-owned shares, analyzes the equilibrium results under no government intervention, government subsidies, and nationalization, discusses the role of government subsidies and nationalization in promoting technology research and development (R&D), and explores the optimal policy under different cases.
Atmospheric water cluster-catalyzed formation of nitroaromatics as a secondary aerosol source
Abstract Nitroaromatic compounds (NACs) are an abundant class of compounds in atmospheric particulate matter, exerting considerable impacts on air quality, climate, and public health. They are typically derived from secondary formation, which is generated through atmospheric chemical reactions involving precursor compounds, such as phenolic compounds. However, information on NAC formation mechanisms remains limited.

Cu(II) inhibited the transport of tetracycline in porous media: Role of complexation
Cu(II) inhibited the transport of tetracycline in porous media: Role of complexation Tetracycline (TC) and Cu(II) coexist commonly in various waters, which may infiltrate into the subterranean environment through runoff and leaching, resulting in substantial ecological risks. However, the underlying mechanisms of why Cu(II) affects the transport of TC in porous media remain to be further explored and supported by more evidence, especially the role of complexation.

Effects of Endurance Exercise and Vitamin D Supplementation on Insulin Resistance and Plasma Lipidome in Middle-Aged Adults with Type 2 Diabetes
Abstract : (1) Background: We investigated the effects of a 12-week exercise intervention with or without vitamin D supplementation on insulin resistance and the plasma lipidome of participants with type 2 diabetes. We further explored whether the effects of the intervention on glycemic parameters could be associated with the baseline lipidome. (2) Methods: Sixty-one participants were randomly allocated to control (Con), exercise (EX), vitamin D (VD), and EX + VD groups.

Effects of resistance training on serum 25(OH) D concentrations in young men: a randomized controlled trial
Abstract Background Previous studies indicated that serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentrations are positively associated with physical activity levels independent of sun exposure. However, the effect of resistance training on serum 25(OH) D concentrations remains unclear. Thus, this study aimed to examine the effect of chronic resistance training on serum 25(OH) D concentrations and determine whether 25(OH) D concentration variations are influenced by body composition changes.
Perceived Risk, Behavior Changes and Health-related Outcomes During COVID-19 Pandemic: Findings among Adults with and without Diabetes in China
Abstract Aims To examine perceived infection risk of COVID-19 and the health and related behavior changes among people with diabetes, compared with people without diabetes, and to examine factors associated with self-reported health during the national quarantine period in China. Methods The 2020 China COVID-19 Survey is an anonymous 74-item survey administered via social media across China.

Understanding the oxidation mechanism of methanesulfinic acid by ozone in the atmosphere
Abstract Methanesulfinic acid (MSIA) is an important intermediate in the oxidation of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) in the marine boundary layer. The oxidation of MSIA by ozone in the gas phase to form methanesulfonic acid (MSA) was investigated using theoretical calculations in this paper. Three pathways can be found for the reaction of MSIA with ozone. The highest energy barrier is 13.02 kcal mol−1 in the most favorable pathway.
