Role of the UHRF1–KLHL6–CORO2B axis in obesity-related insulin resistance
INTRODUCTION Obesity-related insulin resistance (IR), a metabolic disorder characterized by diminished insulin responsiveness in peripheral tissues and consequent hyperglycemia [1, 2], is mechanistically linked to mitochondrial dysfunction [3]. Mitophagy, the selective autophagic clearance of damaged mitochondria, confers protection against IR by maintaining cellular homeostasis [4].

TOR3A represses type I interferon production and limits viral clearance during respiratory syncytial virus infection
ABSTRACT Type I interferons (IFN-I) are essential for antiviral immunity, and precise regulation of IFN-I production is crucial to balance viral clearance and immunopathology. Here, we demonstrate that the interferon-stimulated gene TOR3A negatively regulates type I IFN signalling during respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. TOR3A expression was upregulated in macrophages and RSV-infected patients, and its deficiency enhanced antiviral responses, leading to reduced viral load.

Impaired 26S proteasome causes learning and memory deficiency and induces neuroinflammation mediated by NF-κB in mice
Abstract A reduction in proteasome activity, loss of synapses and increased neuroinflammation in the brain are hallmarks of aging and many neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer disease (AD); however, whether proteasome dysfunction is causative to neuroinflammation remains less understood. In this study, we investigated the impact of 26S proteasome deficiency on neuroinflammation in the Psmc1 knockout (KO) mice deficient in a 19S proteasome subunit limited to the forebrain region.
Echelon grating refractive index sensor
There are few reports on optical refractive index sensors that have both high resonant-wavelength resolution (RWR) and high refractive index sensitivity (RIS). Herein, based on an echelon grating, we design a refractive index sensor that combines the two advantages together. The principal fringe of echelon grating has a small full width at half maximum and a good signal-to-noise ratio, leading to a high RWR. The wavefront splitting interference makes the sensor have high RIS.
