Olfactory-mediated host tracking and rapid local adaptation in a seed-feeding wasp
Abstract Understanding how specialized herbivores track divergence among their hosts is central to evolutionary biology. Congruent genetic structure between hosts and herbivores is often interpreted as evidence of long-term codivergence, but similar patterns may also arise when herbivores rapidly adapt to pre-existing host differentiation.
Coxiella burnetii effector CelF reprograms host proteostasis via competitive disruption of the UBQLN1-PSMD4 axis to stabilize autophagic SNARE SNAP29 and modulate lysosomal metabolic maturation
Abstract Introduction: The ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and autophagy-lysosome pathway constitute the core proteolytic metabolic networks that maintain cellular protein homeostasis (proteostasis) and organelle metabolic identity. Intracellular pathogens frequently reprogram host metabolic pathways to establish replicative niches, yet how they manipulate proteostatic metabolism to remodel organelle maturation remains incompletely understood.
Association of Concomitant Amlodipine Use With Serum Olanzapine Concentrations and Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Schizophrenia
1 Introduction Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder associated with substantial personal, family, and societal burden (Velligan and Rao 2023). People with schizophrenia also experience marked excess cardiovascular morbidity and premature mortality, driven by an interaction among illness-related factors, smoking, cardiometabolic risk, antipsychotic exposure, and inequalities in physical health care (Correll et al. 2017; Murphy and Daumit 2023; Polcwiartek et al. 2024).
Associations between physical education cognition and physical fitness index in adolescents aged 13–18: a pathway-based cross-sectional study
Abstract Adolescent physical fitness has declined globally, yet the cognitive and psychological mechanisms associated with physical fitness remain insufficiently understood. This study examined the associations between physical education cognition and Physical Fitness Index (PFI), with particular attention to the potential intervening pathways of sports attitude and self-perceived motor skill repertoire.
Experimental test of noncontextuality inequality without causal chain assumptions
Abstract Contextuality and entanglement are fundamental quantum resources for quantum information processing, and contextuality has been identified as a necessary precondition for entanglement. However, direct implementation of this connection in a realistic experiment remains to be demonstrated. In addition, previous experiments face practical challenges in explicitly satisfying the linear constraints required for contextuality tests.
Targeted plasma proteomics reveals a central role of upregulated TNFRSF proteins in HIV-associated stroke
Abstract Chronic inflammation drives vascular aging and stroke risk, yet circulating proteins linking immune activation to cerebrovascular events remain elusive. People with HIV (PWH) face elevated stroke risk beyond traditional vascular risk factors, even under antiretroviral therapy. We aimed to identify circulating proteomic signatures of HIV-associated stroke, characterize underlying biological pathways, and assess their longitudinal stability.
Case report of intracranial neuroendocrine carcinoma
Abstract Intracranial neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) is a highly uncommon malignancy, accounting for approximately 0.74% of cases. It is characterized by rapid infiltration and poor survival rates. This case report details a 51-year-old woman who presented with headaches. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) identified an enhancing lesion in the right temporal lobe, and the diagnosis was confirmed by immunohistochemical (IHC) analysis.

Current situation and influencing factors of scientific literacy in fitness of Chinese children and adolescents
1 Introduction Physical literacy (PL) was first proposed by British scholars in the early 21st century (1). It encompasses the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge, and understanding that individuals develop for lifelong participation in physical activity (2). PL is recognized internationally and has influenced national sports and health strategies in various countries (3, 4). To ensure effective implementation, its conceptual domains are often adapted to local contexts (5).

Conjugation-regulated lateral and stereoelectronic effects in single-molecule junctions
Conjugated organic oligomers have attracted substantial attention as fundamental components in organic electronics and optoelectronics, owing to their distinctive electronic and photonic properties arising from delocalized electrons [1], [2], [3], [4]. In general, increasing molecular conjugation decreases the energy gap and increases the conductance of the molecule, but this principle does not apply to cross-conjugated molecules and some extended π-conjugated systems.

Systems | Free Full-Text | Understanding Complexity in the Role of Market Forces in the Construction of a Public Cultural Service System: Evidence from 435 Children’s Libraries in China
5. Discussion To the best of our knowledge, there are few empirical studies on the construction of a public cultural service system in China, and few quantitative studies have been devoted to the role of market forces. What is even more serious is that, so far, the academic community has focused on the issue of lake complexity thinking, separating the roles of government and market, making it an oversimplified and idealized either/or situation.
