A tNGS-based comparative study on clinical features and co-detection profiles of hospitalized children with influenza A and B viruses
Abstract Objectives: This study aimed to characterize the clinical and epidemiological features of hospitalized children with IBV and compare them with those of influenza A virus (IAV). Methods: We enrolled 10,143 pediatric inpatients with ARI between April 2021 and December 2024. Pathogen screening was conducted using targeted next-generation sequencing. Multivariable logistic regression was performed to identify independent predictors for respiratory support requirements.
Development and validation of a predictive model for chronic or persistent immune thrombocytopenia in children incorporating anti-glycoprotein IIb antibody: a retrospective cohort study utilizing LASSO regression and bootstrap stability analysis
Abstract Background: Pediatric immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune condition involving platelet destruction. While most cases resolve spontaneously, 20%–30% progress to chronic disease (cITP), necessitating early risk prediction. Current prognostic models for childhood ITP lack platelet-specific immunological markers. This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive model for chronic/persistent ITP(c/pITP) integrating clinical factors and anti-platelet glycoprotein antibodies.
