Raindrops can cause occlusion and distortion in the background scenes due to their adherence to windows or camera lenses. Existing raindrop removal methods concentrate on designing sophisticated CNN or Transformer architectures to recover distorted and missing texture. In this paper, we try to integrate location information and physical model into off-the-shelf CNN or Transformer architectures to help improve their performance.
Neutron diffraction investigation of residual stress and texture in additively manufactured AISI 410 and 316L steel plates produced by LPBF and DED
Abstract Residual stresses pose a significant challenge in additive manufacturing, particularly for large metal parts. Monitoring these stresses is essential to achieving reliable performance characteristics. Neutron diffraction—a nondestructive method that measures residual stresses throughout the entire sample volume—offers key advantages.
Case Report: pharmaceutical care in a case of complicated urinary tract infection combined with disseminated Nocardia brasiliensis infection
Abstract Given the increasing prevalence of multidrug-resistant opportunistic pathogens and the high mortality rate associated with delayed diagnosis of disseminated infections, there is an urgent need for rapid diagnostic tools and closely monitored, individualized anti-infective strategies. This study aimed to explore the critical role of comprehensive pharmaceutical care in managing disseminated Nocardia infections complicated by complicated urinary tract infection (cUTI).
Precision medicine decision-making under pharmacogenomics in nursing: realizing value from limited evidence to scaled clinical pathways
Abstract Background: Inter-individual variability in efficacy and tolerability remains a major challenge in psychiatric prescribing. Pharmacogenomics (PGx) has been proposed as a practical tool to reduce avoidable drug-gene mismatches, particularly for antidepressants and selected antipsychotics metabolized by CYP2D6 and CYP2C19. However, the clinical value of PGx in psychiatry is uneven across drug classes, testing panels, and patient populations.

A novel prognostic signature based on mitochondrial permeability transition-driven necrosis genes for biochemical recurrence prediction in prostate cancer
Abstract Background: Mitochondrial permeability transition-driven necrosis (MPT-DN) is a therapeutic target and critical driver of prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD) progression. We investigated MPT-DN-related prognostic features in PRAD. Methods: PRAD transcriptomics and MPT-DN-RGs were sourced from public databases. WGCNA, differential expression, Cox regression, and machine learning identified BCR-FS prognostic genes. These genes built a risk model, revealing independent prognostic factors.

Joint estimation of state of charge and state of energy for lithium-ion batteries based on CNN-GRU-ASG
ABSTRACT To accurately assess the state of charge (SOC) and state of energy (SOE) of lithium-ion batteries on short-time scales, this paper proposes a joint estimation method for SOC and SOE that combines the feature extraction capabilities of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), the temporal processing advantages of Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), and the smoothing effects of Adaptive Smoothing Filters (ASG).
Dual recombinase-mediated intersectional genetics defines the functional heterogeneity of neural stem cells in adult hippocampus - Molecular Psychiatry
Abstract The Cre-lox site-specific recombinase system is one of the most powerful and versatile technology platforms for studying neural stem cells (NSCs) in adult brain, which is now challenged due to the complex and dynamic nature of in vivo gene expression. In this study, we develop an inducible dual recombinase-mediated intersectional genetics by combining Dre-rox and Cre-lox recombination technologies to specifically target two subpopulations of NSCs (α- and β-NSCs).

Lactate shuttling links histone lactylation to adult hippocampal neurogenesis in mice
Main text (Developmental Cell 60, 1–17.e1–e8; April 21, 2025) In our recent paper entitled “Lactate shuttling links histone lactylation to adult hippocampal neurogenesis in mice”, we regret that in Figure 5, in Figure 5A, the panels for the shNC and shMct2 were incorrect due to the incorrect immunofluorescent images for shNC and shMct2 conditions being used during the assembly of the final figures. The figure has been replaced with the correct version.

Local and Nonlocal Biophysical Effects of Historical Land Use and Land Cover Changes in CMIP6 Models and the Intermodel Uncertainty
1 Introduction More than 70% of the ice-free land surface has undergone human land use activities to meet the needs for food, fuel, fiber and shelter (Erb et al., 2017; Luyssaert et al., 2014). Land cover has been modified mainly through deforestation for agriculture, husbandry and urban use (Arneth et al., 2019; Luyssaert et al., 2014; Winkler et al., 2021).

Adult neurogenesis research in China
Neural stem cells (NSCs) are a type of multipotent stem cell that generate functional newborn neurons through a process called neurogenesis. Neurogenesis in adult brain is tightly regulated and plays a pivotal role in the maintenance of brain function. Disruption of adult neurogenesis impairs cognitive function and is correlated with numerous neurologic disorders.

Intracavity supercontinuum generation in a mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser based on the Mamyshev mechanism with highly nonlinear fiber
Abstract An all-fiber supercontinuum laser source with a piece of highly nonlinear fiber inserted into a mode-locked fiber laser is experimentally demonstrated. This laser achieves mode-locking based on the Mamyshev mechanism and realizes supercontinuum generation spanning from 1330 nm to 2030 nm directly. Mode-locking based on the Mamyshev mechanism can be obtained easily, and the influence of the parameters of the laser cavity on the supercontinuum laser source is investigated.

Genetics and Molecular Biology Yiqin Deng, Xing Luo, Mei Xie, Philippe Bouloc, Chang Chen, Annick Jacq DOI: 10.1128/AEM.00880-19 ABSTRACT Bacteria synthesize amino-acids according to their availability in the environment or within the host in the case of pathogens. We explored the regulation of the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs: L-Leucine, L-Valine and L-Isoleucine) in Vibrio alginolyticus, a marine fish and shellfish pathogen and an emerging opportunistic human pathogen.
Tapered tellurite step-index optical fiber for coherent near-to-mid-IR supercontinuum generation: experiment and modeling
Abstract We demonstrate broadband highly coherent near-to-mid-IR supercontinuum generation using a short length of tapered tellurite step-index fiber pumped with an ultrafast laser in normal dispersion regime. The tapered tellurite fiber possesses all-normal dispersion characteristics within the whole range of the generated supercontinuum spectrum.
Highly coherent supercontinuum in the mid-infrared region with cascaded tellurite and chalcogenide fibers
We numerically investigate two-step supercontinuum (SC) generation using cascaded tellurite and chalcogenide fibers with all-normal group velocity dispersion pumped by a femtosecond laser at 2 μm. The optimized tellurite fiber is a hybrid microstructured optical fiber with a core surrounded by 12 rods. It has flat normal chromatic dispersion from 2 to 5 μm. The chalcogenide fiber is a double-core fiber with flat normal chromatic dispersion from 4 to 10 μm.
