Transcriptome analysis identifies candidate genes for southern root-knot nematode resistance in cultivated peach
Abstract Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) damage peach trees, and one of the most effective ways instead of the most fundamental way as there are other management strategies. We compared root transcriptomes of resistant ‘Nemaguard’ and susceptible ‘Bailey’ after inoculation with Meloidogyne incognita, the southern root-knot nematode. Roots were sampled at 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 24 h after inoculation. Both genotypes showed the strongest transcriptional response at 24 h.
Antimony sulfide photovoltaics with high open-circuit voltage not limited by self-trapped excitons
Abstract Sb2S3 is a promising material for low-toxicity, high-stability next-generation photovoltaics, but its device performance is constrained by large open-circuit voltage (VOC) deficits. From recent spectroscopic investigations, it was hypothesized that this arises from self-trapping, limiting VOCs to approximately 800 mV, which is indeed the level nearly all Sb2S3 solar cells have asymptotically approached.

Sliding metasurface for wide-angle beam steering with sharp frequency filtering
Abstract The advancement of electromagnetic technologies necessitates strategies to efficiently exploit spectral and spatial resources in increasingly congested and interference-prone environments. This paper demonstrates, for the first time, a fully passive sliding metasurface that unifies sharp frequency filtering and wide-angle beam steering within a single architecture, thereby establishing a two-dimensional frequency–angle selection window.

Intranasal DNA nanocarrier vaccines with surface-patterned antigens enhance efficacy against respiratory syncytial virus
Abstract Although injectable respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) pre-F vaccines are clinically established, effective intranasal alternatives remain elusive. Geometric and surface antigen display properties are critical for respiratory B cell activation, yet lack strategies for systematic optimization. Here we report a library of DNA nanocarriers with controlled dimensions and sizes, aiming to systemically evaluate the influence of geometric properties on intranasal retention.

Ultra-dispersive metasurfaces enabled by convergence-phase design using simplified nanopillar arrays
Abstract Metasurfaces offer unique advantages in manipulating the dispersion of optical fields; yet the achievable dispersion of metasurfaces has long been constrained by the limited phase modulation of complex nanostructures. Here we introduce a metasurface design method based on convergence phase that enables ultra-dispersive metasurfaces using structurally simple nanopillars with relaxed fabrication requirements.

Reversing Microglial Polarisation by High Intensity Interval Training: A Novel Approach to Mitigate Inflammatory Responses in Osteoarthritis via Jak2/Stat3 Pathway
1 Introduction Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common musculoskeletal disease among middle-aged and elderly people. With the increase in susceptible factors (such as aging and obesity) over time, the prevalence of OA has reached 7% [1]. Pain is the main clinical manifestation of OA, often accompanied by varying degrees of limited joint mobility, deformity, and peripheral muscle weakness [2]. Pain is mainly related to the infiltration of pro-inflammatory factors in the intra-articular environment.

Phase separation of the poplar microtubule-associated protein PagPCaP1a aids microtubule depolymerization in response to high salt
Abstract Woody plants must acclimate to environmental stresses, including soil salinity, for proper growth and development. Microtubule reorganization supports plant survival in saline-rich soils, but the underlying molecular mechanism in tree species remains unclear. In this study, we identified a salinity stress response mechanism in hybrid poplar seedlings.
Comparative Analysis of Seismic-Induced Vibration Response Control in Multi-Inerter-Negative Stiffness Damped Outrigger Systems
1. Introduction As highly destructive natural disasters, earthquakes are notorious for inflicting severe damage on infrastructure, buildings, and bridges [1]. Due to the complex and flexible nature of super high–rise buildings, they are especially prone to significant displacement and vibration under seismic excitation [2,3], which can compromise overall safety and functionality.

Distinguishing optical and acoustic phonon temperatures of supported 2D materials by nanosecond time-resolved Raman scattering
Upon laser irradiation, 2D materials experience a cascading energy transfer from electrons to optical phonons (OPs) and then to acoustic phonons (APs), resulting in a significant thermal non-equilibrium among energy carriers. This non-equilibrium presents challenges for Raman-based thermal characterization, as Raman scattering measures only OP temperature rise, while APs are the primary energy carriers.
