An explainable two stage framework for spatial temporal traffic accident prediction and injury severity classification
Abstract Traffic accidents pose severe risks to public safety, yet existing injury severity prediction models often overlook spatial-temporal dynamics. This study proposes a two-stage framework integrating spatial-temporal analysis with machine learning to enhance prediction accuracy and interpretability.
The Fate of Snowmelt: Global Partitioning Into Runoff and Evaporation
1 Introduction The fate of precipitation in terrestrial ecosystems is dictated by a fundamental hydrological dichotomy. It is either directly or via aquifers released into rivers, leaving the system as runoff, or it feeds back into the atmosphere as evaporation. Here, we use the term “evaporation” throughout this paper to represent all the different types of evaporative fluxes (e.g., interception, sublimation, soil evaporation, and transpiration) (Miralles et al., 2020; Savenije, 2004).

Metabolically and epigenetically reprogrammed splenic TRNP1 hi CD8 + T cells exacerbate liver fibrosis
Abstract Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), especially its severe form, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), progresses to liver fibrosis, leading to cirrhosis and liver cancer. The cross-talk between spleen and liver in MASLD/MASH progression remains poorly understood. Here we found enlarged spleens in patients with MASLD and identified induced TRNP1hiCD8+ T cells in spleens of MASLD/MASH mouse models and patients.

Spatial Patterns, Drivers, and Sustainable Utilization of Terrace Abandonment in Mountainous Areas of Southwest China
1. Introduction A terrace refers to a strip or wave-like section of fields built along the contour direction on hilly mountain slopes, condensing a large amount of labor, material, and capital inputs. This type of land use is formed by human beings to meet the needs of survival and adapt to the harsh environment of mountainous areas and is considered to be a high-quality arable land resource in hilly and mountainous regions.

3. Results 3.1. ESS at the Raster and County Scale 3.1.1. Spatial Distribution of ESS On the raster scale, ESS exhibited significant spatial variations (Figure 2). We categorized ESS values, noting that areas with negative values are extremely limited, primarily coinciding with the regional county seat. The area where ESS ranged between CNY zero and one million was small, constituting only 4.28% of the entire region (using the year 2000 as a reference).

Recent advances in [4+4] annulation of conjugated heterodienes with 1,4-dipolar species for the synthesis of eight-membered heterocycles Numerous eight-membered heterocycles are of significance in biological chemistry, medicinal industry, agrochemistry, and materials science. However, the assembly of eight-membered heterocycles is usually challenging due to the unfavorable enthalpic and entropic barriers of the transition states during the ring formation.
Multi-Stage Multi-Scale Local Feature Fusion for Infrared Small Target Detection
1. Introduction Object detection is a crucial technique in computer vision [1], which involves identifying and localizing the objects of interest in an image. Object detection is a fundamental task in computer vision, serving as the foundation for many advanced visual tasks such as autonomous driving [2], pedestrian detection [3], and face recognition [4]. These tasks rely on object detection to determine the positions of objects within images or videos.

Optimizing BiLSTM Network Attack Prediction Based on Improved Gray Wolf Algorithm
Abstract : Aiming at the problems of low accuracy of network attack prediction and long response time of attack detection, bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) was used to predict network attacks. However, BiLSTM has the problems of difficulty in parameter setting and low accuracy of the prediction model. This paper first proposes the Improved Grey Wolf algorithm (IGWO) to optimize the BiLSTM (IGWO-BiLSTM).
