Middlebrowing Lu Xun: para-literary translation and the making of the Hindi magazine Sārikā
ABSTRACT As one of the most influential middlebrow Hindi magazines, Sārikā stood out for its enthusiastic engagement with world literature via the medium of special issues. In the 1980s, the editors developed the formula of ‘author-centric special issue’ to reform the older genre-centric or topic-centric paradigm. It was applied to several world-renowned foreign writers.

Conflict-graph search can stagnate despite effective operators when interventions fail to address the conflicts blocking progress. A disruptive intervention may also require further search before its value emerges. We propose CIPHEUR, a large language model (LLM)-guided framework that connects conflict evidence to coordinated intervention and recovery through Structured Intervention Units (SIUs).

Cross-GNN: a cross-network embedding framework for link prediction based graph neural networks
Abstract Link prediction serves as a core task in multilayer network mining and has extensive applications in social recommendation, biological interaction analysis, academic collaboration mining and other fields. Existing multilayer link prediction methods suffer from two prominent drawbacks. First, they rely on the ideal full node alignment assumption, which cannot adapt to real-world scenarios with partially overlapping nodes and scarce cross-layer anchor links.

Construction and evaluation of a risk prediction model for postoperative deep vein thrombosis in gynecological patients
INTRODUCTION Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a common vascular disease comprising deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).1-3 DVT refers to the abnormal coagulation of blood within the deep veins, leading to partial or complete blockage of the vein lumen, causing venous stasis.4-6 Without timely treatment, dislodged thrombi can travel to the lungs through the bloodstream, resulting in pulmonary embolism, which can be fatal or non-fatal.7 Patients with gynecological diseases are...
Regulation of Microstructure and Absorption Properties of MXene Materials: Theoretical and Experimental
1 Introduction The relentless progress of modern electronic technologies has spurred urgent demands for advanced microwave absorption materials, driven by dual imperatives: mitigating escalating electromagnetic interference (EMI) pollution and enhancing stealth technologies for defense applications.[1-4] In this context, 2D transition metal carbides/nitrides (MXenes) have emerged as transformative candidates, leveraging their unique layered architecture, tunable surface terminations (e.g.,...

Contribution of Sessile Acidophiles on Chalcopyrite Bioleaching under Controlled Redox Potentials
You are already at the latest version Although bioleaching of secondary copper sulfides has been industrialized for decades, application of bioleaching to chalcopyrite is still under development due to low leaching rate. The effect of contact microbes on chalcopyrite leaching remains unclear due to the technical challenges in separating the contact (sessile micro-organisms) and the non-contact (planktonic micro-organisms) processes.

Structural design of hierarchical porous biomass carbon with a built-in electric field for efficient peroxymonosulfate activation
As the demand for antibiotics continues to increase, a portion of the antibiotics will eventually enter the environment, leading to potential bacterial resistance. This poses a potential threat to the ecological environment and human health, as well as a huge challenge to effectively remove antibiotics from water sources [1], [2], [3].
The Effects of Dolomite Powder Content and Type on the Yield Stress Relationship between Self-Compacting Mortar and Paste
1. Introduction Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a type of high-performance concrete that can fill formworks, pass through gaps between reinforcing bars without the need for vibration compaction, and remain homogeneous without segregation or bleeding [1,2,3]. The workability of SCC depends on its mixture design method [4]. Thus far, numerous researchers have conducted in-depth studies on mixture design methods for SCC and have proposed a variety of such methods.

The Cambridge Handbook of Private Law and Artificial Intelligence
AI appears to disrupt key private law doctrines, and threatens to undermine some of the principal rights protected by private law. The social changes prompted by AI may also generate significant new challenges for private law. It is thus likely that AI will lead to new developments in private law. This Cambridge Handbook is the first dedicated treatment of the interface between AI and private law, and the challenges that AI poses for private law.
Fatty Acid Oxidation Supports Lymph Node Metastasis of Cervical Cancer via Acetyl‐CoA‐Mediated Stemness
1 Introduction Cervical cancer (CCa) is one of the most common female cancers worldwide, with 604000 new cases and 342000 deaths in 2020.[1] Due to the special anatomy of the pelvis, cervical cancer cells mainly spread to the pelvic and para-aortic lymph nodes through lymphatic vessels.[2] Patients with CCa and lymph node metastasis (LNM) have a higher recurrence rate and a lower 5-year overall survival rate.[3, 4] The 2018 International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage...
