Mitochondria-localized circRNA BRAKE restrains adipogenesis under nutrient overload by disrupting ATP synthase assembly in mice
Abstract Impaired adipogenesis contributes to obesity-associated metabolic disorders, in which mitochondrial dysfunction plays an important role. Emerging evidence suggests that mitochondria-localized circular RNAs (circRNAs) influence mitochondrial function; however, whether they regulate adipogenesis and systemic metabolism is unclear.
Programmable Doping-Enabled Engineering of Hydrogel Iontronics for Tailored Soft Ionic Devices
1 Introduction The emergence and advancement of soft iontronics have garnered significant interest owing to their prospects in abiotic-biotic interfaces, energy harvesting, unconventional circuits, and neuromorphic computing [1-4]. Conventional electronic conductors encounter notable challenges in these domains. First, engineered devices that rely on electrons often suffer from signal mismatches when interfacing with biological systems [5, 6].

Evolving dynamics of H5Nx avian influenza in China revealed by long-term wild bird surveillance
Abstract H5Nx highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses pose persistent threats to poultry, wildlife, and public health. Over the past two decades, their geographic and host ranges have expanded across migratory networks whose epidemiological connectivity has become increasingly apparent through recent surveillance and genomic analyses. To elucidate these dynamics, we conduct long-term nationwide wild-bird surveillance in China, integrating active and passive monitoring.
Datadog launches on AWS Europe (London) to meet UK data residency requirements
Datadog's observability and security platform is now available on the Amazon Web Services Europe (London) Region, giving UK organisations the option to keep monitoring data in-region for the first time. The launch completes a move flagged in March, when Datadog announced plans to establish a UK data centre presence. Products and services are now live on the AWS London Region, with storage located in-region for customers who need it.
Sympathetic nervous system-mediated fibro-adipogenic progenitor mobilization drives stroke-related sarcopenia
|
Abstract Patients who survive stroke usually experience rapid muscle wasting and an increased risk of physical disability. Although multifactorial interactions, including malnutrition, disuse, systemic catabolic imbalance, and neurohormonal dysregulation, are thought to contribute to the progression of stroke-related sarcopenia, the underlying mechanisms of this brain–muscle crosstalk remain elusive.

Abstract Objective: To systematically review the efficacy of chemotherapy combined with targeted therapy in the handling of advanced triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Methods: A thorough literature search was carried out across several databases, including PubMed, EMBASE, ScienceDirect, and Chinese medical databases, for case-control trials on TNBC patients treated with chemotherapy combined with targeted therapy versus chemotherapy alone.
A nanobody-based proteolysis-targeting chimera offers broad-spectrum protection against diverse influenza virus infections
Abstract Influenza A viruses continue to pose a major threat to global public health. In addition to H1N1 and H3N2 subtypes causing seasonal epidemics that result in an estimated 3–5 million severe cases and 290,000–650,000 deaths annually, other subtypes, including avian H5, H7, and H9, have shown cross-species transmission potential, leading to thousands of human infections in multiple countries.

A Chinese-Kazakh Translation Method That Combines Data Augmentation and R-Drop Regularization
4.4. Qualitative Analysis We randomly selected Chinese to Kazakh translation models and present a qualitative analysis in Table 4. It includes the source sentence, the reference translation, and the machine-generated translations from different NMT models. Using the table, we can compare the reference sentence with the translations generated by the NMT models. The baseline translation is generally similar to the reference translation but contains some vocabulary choices and translation errors.
Rapid detection of H5 subtype avian influenza virus using CRISPR Cas13a based-lateral flow dipstick
Introduction Due to its high mortality rate, highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), a notifiable animal illness designated by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), has caused enormous financial losses to the poultry sector. As one of the HPAIV, H5-AIV can be described as a positive-sense single-stranded, non-enveloped RNA virus. It belongs to the genus of influenza viruses in the Orthomyxoviridae family (Nuñez and Ross, 2019).

Recent prototype network-based studies have focused on enhancing the prototype representation capability of models by incorporating external knowledge.
Frontiers | Methylprednisolone improves the quality of liquid preserved boar spermatozoa in vitro and reduces polymorphonuclear neutrophil chemotaxis and phagocytosis
1. Introduction In modern swine farms, artificial insemination (AI) is generally used as a fundamental and necessary means of reproduction to maintain normal production conditions (1). After AI, spermatozoa will induce an innate immune response in the uterus after entering the sow’s genital tract, and polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs), as one of the most important cellular components of uterine immunity, will be recruited to the uterus in large numbers 1–2 h after insemination (2–4).
Traffic flow digital twin generation for highway scenario based on radar-camera paired fusion - Scientific Reports
Data collection and performance evaluation metrics We tested the proposed DT model generation approach based on a real highway scenario. In the experiment, a traffic radar and a camera were used for data collection. The experiment was located on an overpass on the highway, and the radar and camera were installed at the same location with a height of 8 m from the ground as shown in Fig. 9a,b respectively.

Human antibody 3E1 targets the HA stem region of H1N1 and H5N6 influenza A viruses
We previously identified a fully human mAb named 3E1 from the pandemic H1N1 HA-specific memory B cells isolated from the peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a volunteer vaccinated with the A(H1N1)09pdm vaccine; this mAb was shown to have a broad neutralizing activity against several subtypes of IAVs and to target the conserved stem region of HA (ref. 24).
