Structural Elucidation and Quantitative Characterization of BDDE-Crosslinked Recombinant Human Type III Collagen by NMR Spectroscopy: Crosslinking Sites, Product Distribution, and Enhanced Properties
Submitted: 10 October 2026 You are already at the latest version Recombinant humanized collagen type III (rhCol III) has attracted growing interest as a biomaterial for tissue engineering, wound healing, and dermal fillers because of its excellent biocompatibility, low immunogenicity, and crucial role in tissue repair and regeneration. However, native rhCol III suffers from poor mechanical stability and rapid enzymatic degradation in vivo.
Does predictive accuracy reflect anatomical attention in CVM staging? evidence from explainable held-out vendor evaluation
Abstract Background: Deep learning has shown promising performance for cervical vertebral maturation (CVM) staging, but reported accuracies vary widely across studies. Differences in image preprocessing and imaging systems may affect model performance, while the black-box nature of deep learning makes it unclear whether predictions are based on clinically relevant cervical vertebral morphology.

Targeting Endothelial KDM5A to Attenuate Aging and Ameliorate Age‐Associated Metabolic Abnormalities
1 Introduction Age-related decline in vascular function affects organ physiology, prompting the “vascular senescence theory”, which states that vascular senescence is a prior driver of aging and suggests vascular senescence as a highly graded element during organ aging.[1, 2] Previously, a few animal studies have demonstrated the alleviation of age-associated pathologies by vascular manipulation.[3-6] Endothelial-derived paracrine factors are crucial for maintaining the physiological function...

Biomass and mineral partitioning in fruit-bearing pomegranate exposed to different levels of nitrogen
ABSTRACT We used a unique experimental set-up in which adult fruit-bearing trees were grown in inert media in containers, exposed to eight N-fertigation treatments (5–200 mg N L−1) over 3 years, to decipher biomass and nutrient partitioning among the pomegranate’s tree organs, information that is scarcely reported for fruit trees grown in soil. The ratio of aboveground to belowground biomass responses followed a Gaussian curve, peaking at 100 ppm N.

MicroRNA-mediated network redundancy is constrained by purifying selection and contributes to expression robustness in Drosophila melanogaster - Communications Biology
Abstract MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are post-transcriptional, non-coding regulatory RNAs that function coordinately with transcription factors (TFs) in gene regulatory networks. TFs and their targets are often co-regulated by miRNAs, forming composite feedforward circuits (cFFCs) with varying degrees of redundancy, primarily mediated by miRNAs. However, the maintenance of miRNA-mediated regulatory redundancy and its impact on gene expression evolution remain elusive.

Anticorrosion Performance of Waterborne Coatings with Modified Nanoscale Titania under Subtropical Maritime Climate
1. Introduction Owing to the subtropical maritime climate, steel structures in some coastal areas face severe corrosion challenges [1], where the atmosphere contains high concentrations of Cl−, NH4+, NO3−, SO42−, Na+ and other corrosive ions [2]. Additionally, high temperature, high humidity, strong winds, intense sunlight and other factors aggravate the corrosion of steel structures [3]. Rusted surfaces contain large amounts of coal ash and high salt concentrations, making rust removal difficult.

Systemic delivery of murine SOD2 mRNA to experimental abdominal aortic aneurysm mitigates expansion and rupture
Abstract Oxidative stress is implicated in the pathogenesis and progression of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Antioxidant delivery as a therapeutic for AAA is of substantial interest although clinical translation of antioxidant therapy has met with significant challenges due to limitations in achieving sufficient antioxidant levels at the site of AAA. We posit that nanoparticle-based approaches hold promise to overcome challenges associated with systemic administration of antioxidants.

3.1. The Location and Influence on the Battery with Thermocouples In the battery manufacturing process, commercially available T-type thermocouples with a wire diameter of 0.05 mm were positioned externally on coil cores B and C ( Figure 1 a–c). This wire diameter of the T-type thermocouple can effectively prevent short circuits on the electrode plate. Additionally, the wire of the thermocouple with a 0.045 mm thickness was wrapped using adhesive tape to improve its insulation capacity.

Experimental evaluation of the role of slenderness in seismic behaviour of bridges with rockable footing
1 INTRODUCTION Several investigations, for example, by Chouw1, Housner2 showed that allowing footing to rock on its support can activate rigid-like body movements. Consequently, less deformation along the pier height and bending moments at the pier support of bridges can be anticipated. Some studies, for example, refs. [3, 4] revealed that rockable footing could reduce the impact of earthquakes by temporarily disrupting the influx of seismic waves from the ground.

Interventions and strategies to prevent medical device‐related pressure injury in adult patients: A systematic review
Abstract Background Current evidence shows that medical device-related pressure injury (MDRPI) has a high prevalence (10%) and incidence (12%), and much research has been done to prevent MDRPI in recent years. However, to our knowledge, there is limited systematic review available on interventions and strategies to prevent MDRPI. Aim To synthesise research evidence on interventions and strategies used to prevent MDRPI. Methods This systematic review adhered to the PRISMA Guidelines.

Can Fintech Alleviate the Financing Constraints of Enterprises?—Evidence from the Chinese Securities Market
Abstract : Whether Fintech enabled by big data technology can improve the efficiency of credit allocation and how it would do has always been the focus in the capital market, especially the intermediary mechanism, which has not yet been convincingly explained. This paper empirically tests the logical relationship and micro mechanism between Fintech and the corporate financing constraint dilemma by using the data of China’s A-share non-financial listed companies from 2011 to 2018.
Tonga volcano: visualizing the shockwave propagation
Using air pressure data to animate the shockwave traveling across the U.S. On Jan. 15, 2022, Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai, a volcano to the north of Tonga, went through a violent eruption. The explosion, unleashing energy equivalent to tens of megatons of TNT and triggering a tsunami, was so violent that the acoustic shockwave propagated across the surface of the entire planet.
Influence of Asphaltene Polarity on Hydrate Behaviors in Water-in-Oil Emulsions
In order to evaluate the influence of asphaltene polarity on the behaviors of hydrates, four subfractions with different polarities fractionated from asphaltenes are used for hydrate nucleation, growth, and dissociation experiments. It is found that the subfraction with higher polarity shows a higher self-aggregate tendency in emulsions and tends to adsorb less at the oil–water interface, which is mainly caused by its larger C/H ratio and higher aromaticity.

Sensory perception of dead conspecifics induces aversive cues and modulates lifespan through serotonin in Drosophila - Nature Communications
Abstract Sensory perception modulates health and aging across taxa. Understanding the nature of relevant cues and the mechanisms underlying their action may lead to novel interventions that improve the length and quality of life. We found that in the vinegar fly, Drosophila melanogaster, exposure to dead conspecifics in the environment induced cues that were aversive to other flies, modulated physiology, and impaired longevity.
