Dynamic Changes in Serum Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein Levels Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration After Intravenous Thrombolysis in Minor Stroke
1 Introduction Minor strokes, which are a category of ischemic strokes, involve mild neurological deficits and result in National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores ranging from 0 to 5 [1-3]. In China, more than 50% of patients with ischemic strokes present with minor neurological deficits [4]. However, these minor strokes may not be clinically benign as early neurological deterioration (END) occurs in 2%–9% of these patients.

FN1 + macrophages fuel aggressive sarcomatoid differentiation and immunotherapy refractory outcome in clear cell renal cell carcinoma
Abstract Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) based therapy improved clinical outcomes in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), yet prognosis remains dismal in patients with advanced disease, especially those with sarcomatoid differentiation. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), abundantly infiltrating in the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), emerge as regulators of tumor evolution and immune evasion.
PIWIL4: from biological characteristics to disease pathogenesis and clinical applications
Abstract PIWIL4 is a core component of the PIWI/piRNA pathway. Its roles in germ cell development, transposon silencing, and genome stability maintenance are well established. Recent studies have shown that PIWIL4 is abnormally expressed in many cancers. There, it helps regulate key malignant processes—including cell cycle control, apoptosis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, stemness maintenance, and metabolic reprogramming.
GIPC1 governed ferroptosis by regulating DECR1-modulating lipid homeostasis during dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) - Cell Death & Differentiation
|
Abstract Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) was the most prevalent cardiomyopathy worldwide. Although ferroptosis has been implicated in cardiac pathogenesis, its regulatory mechanism in DCM remained poorly defined. In this study, we found that GIPC1 (GAIP/RGS19-interacting protein), a scaffolding protein, was significantly downregulated in cardiac tissues from DCM patients and doxorubicin (DOX)-induced DCM models.

Characteristics of Cerebral Autoregulation After Mechanical Thrombectomy and Its Relationship With Prognosis
1 Introduction For acute ischemic stroke with large vessel occlusion, mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is the recommended treatment for patients with limited signs of early ischemic changes on neuroimaging [1, 2]; however, patient responses to MT vary greatly. Therefore, it is imperative to find reliable indicators to predict prognosis after MT and to investigate possible intervention targets to improve the prognosis of these patients.
Is There a Vicious Cycle Between Parental Burnout and Parent-Adolescent Conflict? A Three‐Wave Within‐Family Analytic Approach
Parenting can be stressful. Parents under enduring and overwhelming parenting stress may experience parental burnout, which is a chronic condition of feeling exhausted by one's parental role and emotionally distanced from one's children (Mikolajczak et al. 2019). Parental burnout has recently begun to receive increasing scholarly attention, with a rising number of studies focusing on both its antecedents and consequences (for a review, see Mikolajczak et al. 2023).

Inhibition of Sn(II) oxidation in Z-scheme BiVO4-QD@Sn3O4 for overall water splitting
Inhibition of Sn(II) oxidation in Z-scheme BiVO4-QD@Sn3O4 for overall water splitting In this work, it is verified that the preferred oxidation of Sn2+ in Sn3O4 during photocatalysis is the main cause to inefficient oxygen evolution. It could be inhibited by depositing BiVO4-QD attributed to Z-scheme charge transfer. This inhibition, along with promoted charge separation, lead to the achievement of overall water-splitting.
