The evolving global landscape of first-in-class oncology drug innovation
Abstract First-in-class (FIC) oncology drugs—defined by their novel mechanisms of action or targeting of previously unaddressed molecular targets—have emerged as a leading force in cancer therapeutic innovation. In this Review, we delineate the global landscape of FIC oncology drug approvals between 2009 and 2024 and analyze the evolving characteristics of both approved FIC therapies and potential FIC (PFIC) candidates in clinical development.

Regorafenib plus sintilimab as a salvage treatment for microsatellite stable metastatic colorectal cancer: a single-arm, open-label, phase II clinical trial | Nature Communications
Abstract Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have limited efficacy in microsatellite stable (MSS) metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), and combination therapy needs to be further explored. In this single-arm, open-label, phase II trial (NCT04745130), we evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination therapy of antiangiogenesis (regorafenib) and ICI (sintilimab) in patients with MSS mCRC. The primary endpoint is overall survival (OS).

Enhancer decommissioning by MLL4 ablation elicits dsRNA-interferon signaling and GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis to potentiate anti-tumor immunity - Nature Communications
Cell culture B16F10 and MC38 are generously provided by H.T at Tsinghua UniversityHEK293T, LLC, and A375 are obtained from American Type Culture Collection (ATCC). These cell lines were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and 1% penicillin–streptomycin (PS). DLD-1 and H1299 are from ATCC and maintained in RPMI-1640 plus 10% FBS and 1% PS. SK-MEL-28 cells are from ATCC and cultured in EMEM supplemented with 10% FBS and 1% PS.
Disparities in Telemedicine
Abstract and Introduction Abstract Background: In 2020, primary care practices adopted telemedicine as an alternative to in-person visits. Little is known about whether access to telemedicine was equitable, especially among older patients. Our objectives were to (1) examine older adults' use of telemedicine versus in-person primary care visits and (2) compare hospitalization for ambulatory care sensitive conditions (ACSCs) between the groups.
Author Correction: Deregulation of the miR-16-KRAS axis promotes colorectal cancer - Scientific Reports
Correction to: Scientific Reports https://doi.org/10.1038/srep37459, published online 18 November 2016 The original version of this Article contains errors. In Figure 4D, the representative images for the cell invasion assay experiments “pre-miR-control+control vector” and “pre-miR-16+KRAS vector” are partially duplicated from the image showing “pre-miR-control”. The correct Figure 4 and accompanying legend appear below.
