Sequencing-based spatial transcriptomics with high sensitivity
Abstract The advent of spatial transcriptomics has dramatically expanded our ability to study the vast network of cell-cell interactions at the molecular level in tissue. Among current methods, sequencing-based approaches have great potential in discovery because of their unbiased capture of the whole transcriptome. In the last couple of years, the spatial resolution for the capture addresses has been improved from ~100 μm to <1 μm, well below the size of a mammalian cell.

Reversal of canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway attenuates gestational diabetes mellitus-induced offspring cardiac hypertrophy: mechanistic insights into pathological remodeling
Abstract Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), a prevalent prenatal metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia occurring in approximately 9.2% of pregnancies globally, imposes significant cardiovascular risks on offspring, including developmental cardiac hypertrophy and long-term functional impairment. Despite its clinical importance, the molecular mechanisms governing GDM-induced cardiac malformations remain elusive.

Finite-Time Control for Automatic Berthing of Pod-Driven Unmanned Surface Vessel with an Event-Triggering Mechanism
1. Introduction According to the European Maritime Safety Agency’s Annual Overview of Marine Casualties and Incidents for 2023, from 2014 to 2022, 80.7% of accident factors were related to human factors, and 45.3% of accidents occurred in coastal waters. In this context, people have turned their attention to the development of unmanned surface vessels (USVs), as their maneuverability issues in coastal waters urgently need to be addressed.

APIR: Aggregating Universal Proteomics Database Search Algorithms for Peptide Identification with FDR Control
Abstract Advances in mass spectrometry (MS) have enabled high-throughput analysis of proteomes in biological systems. The state-of-the-art MS data analysis relies on database search algorithms to quantify proteins by identifying peptide-spectrum matches (PSMs), which convert mass spectra to peptide sequences.
Not created equal: London and New York City’s green premium
There is consensus around the existence of a green premium, although it is important to note some studies find little correlation between sustainable characteristics and price despite others determining that green buildings can generate price premiums of more than 30 percent. These studies have generally been focused on the office sector, where data is most available and the drivers are clearer.

Effects of Pruning on Growth, Rhizosphere Soil Physicochemical Indexes and Bacterial Community Structure of Tea Tree and Their Interaction
1. Introduction Soil microorganisms, especially bacteria, are one of the important contributors to the biogeochemical cycling of nutrient elements such as carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur [1,2]. Complex interactions between plant roots and soil microorganisms occur mainly in the rhizosphere soil [3]. The composition and structure of microorganisms in rhizosphere soil effectively influence plant growth and development [4].
Retinoic Acid-PPARα Mediates β-Carotene Resistance to Placental Dysfunction Induced by Deoxynivalenol
Mycotoxins, the secondary metabolites of fungi, are widely present in contaminated food and feed, with various adverse effects on animals and humans. (1) Among them, deoxynivalenol (DON) is the most common and polluted mycotoxin produced by Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium culmorum, contaminating cereal crops or cereal-based food products, seriously threatening the development of breeding industry.

Methionine orchestrates the metabolism vulnerability in cisplatin resistant bladder cancer microenvironment - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Metabolism vulnerability of cisplatin resistance in BCa cells remains to be discovered, which we applied integrated multi-omics analysis to elucidate the metabolism related regulation mechanism in bladder cancer (BCa) microenvironment. Integrated multi-omics analysis of metabolomics and proteomics revealed that MAT2A regulated methionine metabolism contributes to cisplatin resistance in BCa cells.

Advances and prospects of dynamic DNA nanostructures in biomedical applications
Advances and prospects of dynamic DNA nanostructures in biomedical applications Yiling Chen a and Sirong Shi*a Abstract With the rapid development of DNA nanotechnology, the emergence of stimulus-responsive dynamic DNA nanostructures (DDNs) has broken many limitations of static DNA nanostructures, making precise, remote, and reversible control possible. DDNs are intelligent nanostructures with certain dynamic behaviors that are capable of responding to specific stimuli.

Clipper: p-value-free FDR control on high-throughput data from two conditions
Abstract High-throughput biological data analysis commonly involves identifying features such as genes, genomic regions, and proteins, whose values differ between two conditions, from numerous features measured simultaneously. The most widely-used criterion to ensure the analysis reliability is the false discovery rate (FDR), which is primarily controlled based on p-values.
Clipper: p-value-free FDR control on high-throughput data from two conditions
Abstract High-throughput biological data analysis commonly involves identifying “interesting” features (e.g., genes, genomic regions, and proteins), whose values differ between two conditions, from numerous features measured simultaneously. The most widely-used criterion to ensure the analysis reliability is the false discovery rate (FDR), the expected proportion of uninteresting features among the identified ones. Existing bioinformatics tools primarily control the FDR based on p-values.

Plasma metabolic profiling analysis of normal and ANIT-induced cholestasis rats after oral administration of Da-Huang-Xiao-Shi decoction by UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap MS coupled with pattern recognition
Da-Huang-Xiao-Shi decoction (DHXSD) is a representative formula for treating jaundice and reveals bright prospects in liver protective effect. The metabolic profiling analysis has gained much attention ever since metabolomics develop. And it might synthetically result in the change of metabolic profiles in cholestasis rats compared with that in normal rats after oral administration of DHXSD.
Mathematical Foundations for Social Computing
Social computing benefits from mathematical foundations, but research has barely scratched the surface. Social computing encompasses the mechanisms through which people interact with computational systems: crowdsourcing systems, ranking and recommendation systems, online prediction markets, citizen science projects, and collaboratively edited wikis, to name a few.
The two things that matter in a relationship
“But he has a kid (or kids)” Take these buts in your hands, take a deep breath, and let them go. They don’t determine the ultimate fate of a relationship. Take my parents for example: my step-mom started dating my dad when she was around my age (25 years old). She was an incredibly smart, educated, ambitious, beautiful young woman. She had lots of options.
