Childhood trauma, anhedonia, and educational attainment in drug-naïve first-episode schizophrenia spectrum disorders: a case-control study
Abstract Childhood trauma, anhedonia, and educational attainment have been associated with psychosis, but their independent associations with drug-naïve first-episode schizophrenia spectrum disorders (FESSD) remain unclear. We examined the associations of childhood trauma, anhedonia, and sociodemographic factors with FESSD case status and symptom severity in an drug-naïve sample.
TRIM37 interacts with TRIM28 to maintain primordial germ cell identity during migration
Abstract During primordial germ cell (PGC) specification, repression of somatic programs is essential for the establishment of germline identity. However, mechanisms that safeguard PGC fate thereafter remain unknown. Here, we identify the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM37 as a critical safeguard of PGC fate during migration. Trim37 deficiency causes severe PGC defects beginning at embryonic day 9.5 (E9.5) with complete PGC depletion by E12.5, and leads to an aberrant transition toward somatic cell states.
Dual-temperature H 2 sensing with a wide dynamic range enabled by PdO/Pd-ZnO nanorod arrays
Abstract Hydrogen (H2) safety monitoring demands sensors that operate reliably across the entire trace-to-percent-level concentration range, a persistent challenge for conventional metal-oxide systems. Herein, a temperature-gated sensing strategy is demonstrated using PdO/Pd-decorated, metal–organic framework (MOF)-derived ZnO nanorod arrays.

A comprehensive review of hydrogen sensor for thermal runaway monitoring: fundamentals, recent advancements, and challenges
Abstract Thermal runaway (TR) in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) remains an intrinsic safety issue, posing significant risks of fire and explosion. Among various technologies employed to assess LIB status- including temperature, pressure, voltage, and gas measurements-gas sensors exhibit superior response speed and stronger sensing abilities. Notably, H2 has been identified as the first gas released during the TR process when compared to other gases such as CO2, CO and CH4.
Pulmonary metastasis from adult-type granulosa cell tumor of the testis: a rare case report and literature review
Abstract Introduction Adult-type granulosa cell tumor of the testis is an extremely rare sex cord-stromal tumor. While most AGCTs are considered indolent with low metastatic potential, a small subset may exhibit aggressive behavior. Due to the rarity of this tumor, optimal management strategies and prognostic markers remain unclear.

Building a Secure SIEM Home Lab: Deploying Wazuh, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Docker
SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) is a cybersecurity approach that involves collecting, normalizing, and correlating log data from diverse sources within an organization’s IT infrastructure. It provides real-time alerts, incident detection, and response capabilities, aiding in the identification of security incidents, compliance management, and forensic analysis. SIEM enhances overall security visibility and helps organizations proactively manage and respond to potential threats.
Sustainability | Free Full-Text | Does Financial Deepening Foster Clean Energy Sustainability over Conventional Ones? Examining the Nexus between Financial Deepening, Urbanization, Institutional Quality, and Energy Consumption in China
Abstract : Energy availability and the selection of suitable energy sources have substantial implications on both economic and environmental sustainability, and it is because the environmental protection cost is directly linked to overall energy inclusion in the economy. Thus, the importance of clean energy has been noticed in the literature regardless of the economic structure.
Cells | Free Full-Text | Sex Differences between Neuronal Loss and the Early Onset of Amyloid Deposits and Behavioral Consequences in 5xFAD Transgenic Mouse as a Model for Alzheimer’s Disease
Abstract : A promising direction in the research on Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is the identification of biomarkers that better inform the disease progression of AD. However, the performance of amyloid-based biomarkers in predicting cognitive performance has been shown to be suboptimal. We hypothesise that neuronal loss could better inform cognitive impairment. We have utilised the 5xFAD transgenic mouse model that displays AD pathology at an early phase, already fully manifested after 6 months.
