LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A church caught on fire during Thursday evening's severe thunderstorm in Lackawanna County. First responders say the Abington Christian Academy at the corner of Keystone Avenue and Brook Street in Peckville was struck by lightning and caught fire around 8:30 p.m. Our Newswatch 16 crew on scene saw multiple fire companies battling the blaze. So far, no injuries have been reported. The school posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday that it was the last day of school.

Police: Scranton police car involved in crash on I-380 in Lackawanna County

LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — There is a lane restriction after a crash in Lackawanna County Thursday evening. According to 511PA, a multi-vehicle crash happened around 6 p.m. on I-380 northbound near Exit 20-Daleville/Moscow. According to Scranton police, a police cruiser was involved. There is no word on their condition or what caused the crash. No word on injuries at this time. State police are investigating. Newswatch 16 has a crew on the scene and is working to learn more information.
