Have you ever used a typewriter?

I have not used a typewriter before!

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Cam Jansen or Skeeter Phelan

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Increasing accessibility, giving a mic to ones we haven't heard from, and seeking the truth.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I am a fan of using Google Docs, especially for editing and sharing. I also use Otter for transcriptions of interviews I've conducted.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I did! I mostly wrote news and feature articles, and I edited submissions from fellow students. I was editor-in-chief for about two years.

What's your favorite drink?

Anything lychee or mango flavored

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Seeing live music!

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I adore outlets like NPR and The New York Times, especially the columns like Modern Love!
