Global Impacts of Simulating Organic Aerosol Phase State Click to copy article link Article link copied!
1. Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Atmospheric organic aerosols (OA), which play a critical role in climate, public health, and biogeochemical systems, can be directly emitted as primary organic aerosols (POA) or formed through complex reactions as secondary organic aerosols (SOA). (1) A key property governing OA behavior in the atmosphere is its phase state, ranging from liquid (viscosity <10 2 Pa·s) to semisolid (10 2 –10 12 Pa·s) and solid (>10 12 Pa·s).
Boron neutron capture therapy combined with immunotherapy: insights from radiotherapy, BNCT-specific evidence, and future directions
Abstract Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), a precision radiotherapy modality, has shown significant promise in targeted cancer treatment. Like conventional radiotherapy, the development of radioresistance hinders the efficacy of BNCT. Nevertheless, the physical parameters in BNCT induce the massive anti-tumor response compared to low-LET radiotherapy. Recent advancements have highlighted its synergistic potential with immunotherapy.

Integrating geospatial and environmental factors in colorectal cancer epidemiology: a regional study
1 Introduction Reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) indicate that cancer is now one of the top causes of death in nearly half of the world’s regions (1). Colorectal cancer (CRC) has become one of the most common cancers affecting the digestive system globally. Epidemiological research shows that its incidence and mortality rates are among the highest for cancers worldwide, with a steady increase over time.

Nitrogen dominates global atmospheric organic aerosol absorption
Editor’s summary Atmospheric aerosols affect climate by either scattering or absorbing solar radiation. Li et al. found that brown nitrogen, the nitrogenous component of organic aerosols, dominates their solar absorption globally. The authors used a model to quantify the atmospheric distribution of brown nitrogen, calculated how chemical aging affects its optical properties, and quantified its radiative impacts.
Reversible Redox 19F Magnetic Resonance Imaging Nanoprobes for Monitoring Redox State in Vivo
Reversible Redox 19F Magnetic Resonance Imaging Nanoprobes for Monitoring Redox State in Vivo Redox processes are indispensable for physiology, and dysregulated redox balance is critical in various metabolic diseases. The development of imaging diagnosis tools for real-time monitoring of redox state in vivo is of great importance yet highly challenging. Here, we designed the trifluoromethyl (-CF3) grafted selenide polymer nanoprobes for reversible redox sensing in vivo.
Layered Anion‐Mixed Oxycompounds: Synthesis, Properties, and Applications
1 Introduction Recent years have witnessed significant advancements in the study of layered materials, driven by the strategic cleavage of van der Waals (vdW) bonds between monolayers and innovative bottom-up growth techniques. This technological leap has ushered in a transformative era of applications centered around 2D materials across a spectrum of scientific disciplines.

Baseline characteristics and risk factors for short-term outcomes in 132 COVID-19 patients with diabetes in Wuhan China: a retrospective study
Highlights • Patients with poorly-controlled blood glucose (>11mmol/L) had a higher death rate and were more likely to suffer multiple organ injury compared with those with glucose level of ≤11mmol/L. • Admission glucose of > 11mmol/l was a potential risk factor for adverse outcomes in COVID-19 patients with diabetes. • Admission d-dimer of ≥1.5 μg/mL contributed to in-hospital deaths. • Admission HRCT score of ≥10 was associated with increased odds of in-hospital complications.
