For the fourth time since 2020, Texas finished with the most players selected in the NFL Draft with 33. Jordyn Tyson, Jadarian Price, Jacob Rodriguez, Anthony Hill Jr., Cade Klubnik and Harold Perkins Jr. were some of the notable selections from the Lone Star State. Florida finished with the second-most picks with 27 and had the most in the first round with five. Fernando Mendoza became the first player from the Sunshine State to go first overall since 1965.

After the Las Vegas Raiders selected Fernando Mendoza No. 1 overall Thursday night, the national championship-winning quarterback became the first player from Florida taken with the top pick in 61 years. Mendoza, a former two-star recruit, graduated from Columbus (Miami) in 2022 and joined Tucker Frederickson as the only other player from Florida to be selected first overall. He also joins Eric Fisher and Alex Smith as the only other two-star recruits to be selected No. 1.

If the Las Vegas Raiders select Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick later tonight, the Indiana quarterback will become the second player from Florida taken first overall joining Tucker Frederickson, who was the No. 1 pick in the 1965 by the New York Giants. Texas owns the top spot when it comes to producing No. 1 selections with 15.
