Collective synchronization is a common response of interacting magnetic particles subjected to rotating external fields. Here we demonstrate a distinct nonequilibrium state in a two-dimensional cluster of magnetic colloidal particles in which the ordered crystalline core rotates, on average, opposite to the direction of the applied rotating magnetic field, while the defect-rich outer region continues to rotate with the drive.

HOXA5 silencing via DNA methylation reveals the critical role of HOX gene deregulation in oral carcinogenesis
Abstract HOXA5, a member of the HOX family, has been characterized as a tumor suppressor in several cancers. However, its regulation and role in oral cancer (OC) remain unclear. HOXA5 expression was assessed by transcriptome analysis and qRT-PCR, while methylation was evaluated using methyl-capture sequencing and bisulfite Sanger sequencing in a clinical cohort comprising OPMD, LN(-) and LN(+) groups and in vitro models.
Optimised MPPT control using enhanced RNN in DFIG-based wind energy systems for improved grid stability and efficiency
Wind energy is now a key element in sustainable energy landscape due to growing demand for Renewable Energy Sources (RES). This work presents an enhanced control method for a grid-connected wind energy conversion system (WECS) based doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) to improve WECS’s efficiency and dependability. The proposed approach is based on a Rider Sea Lion Optimisation (RSLO) algorithm combined with a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).

Experimental–AI approach (hybrid) for evaluating the strength characteristics of eco-efficient concrete incorporating coal bottom ash
Abstract Thermal power stations generate large amount of coal bottom ash (CBA), which is mostly disposed of in landfills, creating environmental hazards. At the same time, the continual use of natural aggregate in concrete is depleting resources. Present study aims to address both these issues by utilizing coal bottom ash as partial substitute to river sand and quarry sand at values between 0% and 100%. Experimental results indicate that workability decreases with increasing CBA contain.
The Effect of Social Associations on Mammography Screening Disparities in Rural Communities: A County-Level Secondary Analysis
1 Introduction Breast cancer rates in rural US counties is 9% higher compared to urban counties [1]. This disparity is largely attributed to rural–urban differences in mammography screening rates [2]. Mammography screening is associated with improved identification of breast cancer at early tumor stages [3], and decreased rates of cancer-related mortality [4].
Text guided cross attentive multimodal learning with visual feature modulation for automated skin lesion detection
Abstract Automated skin lesion detection is essential for early dermatological diagnosis. Most deep learning algorithms employ dermoscopic images and ignore the clinical context of dermatologists. This constraint decreases the robustness and interpretability, particularly in visually ambiguous instances. An explainable multimodal cross attention framework that merges clinical text with dermoscopic images to increase diagnostic accuracy and semantic grounding in automated skin lesion detection.

A bio-polymeric strategy for enhancing the strength, durability of concrete and shrinkage reduction - Scientific Reports
Abstract The formation of cracks in concrete is inevitable and often accelerated by inadequate curing. In many regions, the availability of potable water for external curing is limited, leading to improper curing practices and the development of shrinkage cracks. Resolving this issue is essential to enhancing concrete structures’ long-term performance.
Towards Adulteration Detection in Medicinal Leaves Using an Effective Feature Extractor
Abstract Adulteration of therapeutic herbs is a modern evil that threatens the very foundations of Ayurveda. The endangered status of many medicinal plants and the focus on increasing profits by suppliers of Ayurvedic herbs result in adulteration. Medicinal leaves rich in therapeutic properties are being adulterated with other leaves of the same family with similar morphological characteristics. These leaves not only reduce the efficacy of drugs but can even be potentially harmful.
Letter: A Patient Centric Approach to Tapering Steroids in Steroid Responsive Moderate to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis
We read with great interest the study done by Kumar et al. which showed that a shorter taper duration of 6 weeks was inferior to a longer taper of 10 weeks in achieving clinical remission in moderate to severe ulcerative colitis at 6 months [1]. We congratulate the authors on this study, as no guidelines have clearly mentioned the strategy for steroid tapering in moderate to severe ulcerative colitis.

Abstract The study revolves around the fabrication of a symmetric solid-state supercapacitor device using a novel NiCo2S4/PVDF/CNT composite electrode. This device yielded a wide potential window of 1.5 V (-1.6 V to 0 or 0 to 1.5 V), an exceptional power density (PD) of 0.54 KW/Kg, an energy density (ED) of 64.53 Wh/Kg at 1 A/g, and a specific capacitance of 206.5 F/g. Additionally, a test of the device’s longevity after 2500 cycles revealed a 54% capacitive retention.

Opposed flame spread over a thermally-thin charring material under varied flow velocities and ambient pressures in a narrow channel apparatus
Due to the inevitable use of combustible materials inside a spacecraft and conditions that can be favorable for ignition, fire safety is an important concern for space travel [1]. Inside a spacecraft, there exists a specific environment that the buoyancy convection is absent. To ensure the normal life activities of astronauts, the spacecraft is equipped with ventilation and exhaust equipment, which will automatically induce forced flow [2].

Acetoxy allenoates as emerging synthons in annulation/cycloaddition reactions
Acetoxy allenoates as emerging synthons in annulation/cycloaddition reactions† In contrast to the normal allenoates (2,3-butadienoates) that undergo phosphine/amine addition generating dipolar-type intermediates, acetoxy allenoates that contain a facile-leaving –OAc group create electrophilic diene–phosphonium/ammonium intermediates rendering the reactivity pattern vastly different in the two cases. This review highlights the fascinating chemistry of acetoxy allenoates and related substrates.

How do we build wealth with low variance?
MINIMUM VARIANCE IS an investment approach that focuses on reducing fluctuations within a portfolio. To explain its relevance, let us imagine that a person is attempting to cross a river with an average depth of five feet. If certain areas of the river are deeper, relying on the average depth can be misleading and even dangerous. Similarly, in investments, an average return may mask the underlying fluctuations that can impact the overall experience and outcome for investors.

Enhancing medium-chain fatty acids production via alkyl polyglucose modulation of electron acceptor generation, microbial community and metabolic traits in anaerobic fermentation of waste activated sludge
As the world faces the challenges of rapid population growth and industrial expansion, wastewater treatment plants are increasingly crucial [1]. Consequently, waste activated sludge (WAS) inevitably being generated as major byproducts, with over 11 million tons of dry sludge produced annually in China [2]. The subsequent disposal of WAS is costly, accounting for 50 %-60 % of total running costs of the wastewater treatment plants, resulting in a huge economic burden [3].

Baryon Electric Charge Correlation as a Magnetometer of QCD
The correlation between net baryon number and electric charge, χ11BQ, can serve as a magnetometer of QCD. This is demonstrated by lattice QCD computations using the highly improved staggered quarks with physical pion mass of Mπ=135 MeV on Nτ=8 and 12 lattices. We find that χ11BQ along the transition line starts to increase rapidly with magnetic field strength eB≳2Mπ2 and by a factor 2 at eB≃8Mπ2.
