VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — More than 61 million Americans are expected to travel by car this July 4th weekend. The busy travel holiday opens the door for deadly crashes, with teenagers being some of the most at risk. During the summer, AAA says that, on average, eight teens die every day due to a car crash. Multiple factors contribute to the statistics, including inexperience, distractions, and reduced alertness to roadway hazards. Those are factors that are heightened during the holiday.
