Art in the Park Sculpture Walk & Outdoor Art Gallery returns to Rock Falls Aug. 29
Art, music and creativity will take over Rock Falls’ riverfront on Saturday, Aug. 29, as the Art in the Park Sculpture Walk & Outdoor Art Gallery returns to the RB&W District. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 201 E. Second St. Sylvia Sobottka, 4, sits with “Forty Love,” a new sculpture by James Haire put on display Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, in Rock Falls. (Alex T. Paschal) The event will feature the unveiling of eight new sculptures created by artists from across the country.

Still time to take in a farmers market in the Kendall County region
Oswego Country Market The open-air outdoor market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 27, on Main Street in downtown Oswego. In addition to fresh local produce, the market features meat, eggs, artisan cheeses, honey, pet goods, baked goods and specialty foods. Some vendors in recent years have included Marek’s Authentic Polish Food, Nuts to Go, The Olive Gallery and many others.
