QUINCY – For Ignacio Gonzalez, a single fateful moment on the baseball diamond changed his freshman collegiate season. What it didn’t do, though, was change the trajectory of his career. He wouldn’t let it. Gonzalez had played exactly two college games when his freshman season ended. That’s when the Miami University of Ohio infielder tore the labrum in his shoulder, forcing him to miss the rest of the year. Instead of letting the setback define him, Gonzalez used it as motivation.
