I'm Nicole Meyer. Louisiana lawmakers could send proposed congressional map to governor's desk today

Louisiana legislators are poised to send a new congressional map to the governor's desk Thursday. Lawmakers are set to debate Senate Bill 121 Thursday, which is a proposed congressional map that eliminates one of the state's Black-majority districts. If the bill passes in the House, it will head to the governor's desk for approval. People were seen at the Capitol protesting the maps ahead of the House convening. This discussion comes just before the June 1 deadline to end the legislative session.
