PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Woonsocket completed a perfect season on Monday, taking down BVP/Central Falls Co-Op, 6-4, to earn their second-straight Division III baseball title. The Villa Novans scored six unanswered runs in the first three innings to establish an early lead. BVP/Central Falls Co-Op responded with four unanswered runs, including a run in the bottom of the seventh, but they were unable to complete the rally. “Hard fought battle,” Woonsocket senior pitcher Braylon Guilbeault said.
