Woonsocket rolls to second consecutive DIII baseball title Original

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Woonsocket completed a perfect season on Monday, taking down BVP/Central Falls Co-Op, 6-4, to earn their second-straight Division III baseball title. The Villa Novans scored six unanswered runs in the first three innings to establish an early lead. BVP/Central Falls Co-Op responded with four unanswered runs, including a run in the bottom of the seventh, but they were unable to complete the rally. “Hard fought battle,” Woonsocket senior pitcher Braylon Guilbeault said.

The Moses Brown Senior brought home her 3rd State Girls Golf Championship becoming the 5th girl to win three titles, with a runner up finish in her Sophomore year the only thing keeping her from a four-peat. “The thing with Adriana is she’s so consistent,” said Moses Brown Golf Coach Larry Tremblay. “She’s not a long ball hitter but she hits it straight and putts very well.
