Suspicious package found at firehouse in Tenleytown draws large emergency response

A suspicious package found at a firehouse in Northwest Washington, D.C., spurred a large response early Wednesday that shut down busy Wisconsin Ave. NW during the morning rush. Investigators cleared the suspicious package, and a thermos was deemed safe, D.C. officials said. Wisconsin Avenue NW is set to reopen soon. Wisconsin Avenue NW was blocked between Tenley Circle and Van Ness Street. Some side streets were also blocked, including parts of Van Ness, Yuma and 40th streets.

Diplo to headline Glow Block Party on one of DC's most iconic streets
