An 11-year-old girl and her mother had an unforgettable night during Karol G's concert Friday at SoFi Stadium, when the Colombian artist approached them in the front row, sang with the girl and then invited the audience to support the family's tamale business in Santa Ana. Blanca Salazar was able to save enough money by selling tamales to buy front-row tickets for herself and her daughter, April Salazar. It was from those seats that the encounter with the singer took place.

Blanca Salazar logró ahorrar lo suficiente para comprar boletos en primera fila para ella y su hija, April Salazar. Fue desde esos asientos donde ocurrió el encuentro con la cantante.

I was a staff reporter for SAC Media, my community college's student-run newspaper.

What's your favorite social network?

It is tied between Instagram and Twitter. Instagram allows me to connect with friends and family. I get a lot of my news from Twitter.

Why did you become a journalist?

My passion for my community motivates me to continue telling people's stories and to be the voice of the voiceless.
