Association between unintentional injuries and suicidal ideation of children and adolescents: a longitudinal study
Abstract Purpose: This study aims to investigate the prospective association between unintentional injuries and subsequent suicidal ideation among children and adolescents. Methods: This study is a two-wave longitudinal school-based cohort derived from repeated surveys administered in Anhui, China, in November 2023 (Wave 1) and April 2025 (Wave 2). As grade 12 students in Wave 1 would graduate by July 2024 and thus be unavailable for follow-up, we included only students in grades 5–11 from Wave 1.
900°C thermal-force coupling carbonization tailoring hard carbon microstructures enables high performance sodium-ion pouch batteries
Abstract Hard carbon materials are promising candidates for advancing large-scale energy storage in sodium-ion batteries. However, a fundamental trade-off often exists between sodium storage sites and fast diffusion kinetics in hard carbon. Herein, we overturn this long-standing constraint through a machine learning design paradigm and low-temperature thermal-force coupling carbonization that enables the microstructure in hard carbon of both abundant sodium storage sites and rapid Na+ diffusion.
Dynamic capacity investment and debt financing
Abstract It is common for companies to conduct multiple capacity expansions in a growing market. In this article, we study how firms make optimal multi-stage investment timing, scale, and capital structure decisions in the context of multiple growth options and existing assets. We show that with multiple growth options, a levered firm accelerates the timing and reduces the scale of investment at each stage relative to an unlevered firm.
Visible-Light Photocatalytic Functionalization of Aryl Chlorides and Fluorides
1 Introduction Carbon–halogen (C─X) bonds are among the most prevalent functional groups in organic synthesis and widely encountered in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and industrial materials [1]. While aryl bromides and iodides have been extensively exploited in synthetic chemistry owing to their relatively high reactivity, their limited natural abundance and higher cost restrict their large-scale application.
Athletes’ action recognition and performance prediction based on TS-GCN-SAM
Abstract This study aims to meet the modern competitive sports’ demand for dynamic adjustment of athletes’ movements and provides a more efficient and accurate solution for athlete performance prediction. It proposes a new prediction model based on the Two-Stream Graph Convolutional Network (TS-GCN) combined with the Spatial Attention Module (SAM). First, the OpenPose technology is used to extract human joint information from video data to generate skeletal feature sequences.

Side selection of cochlear implant in patients after head trauma: a new perspective
Abstract Background Head trauma often leads to bilateral sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL), and determining the optimal side for cochlear implantation (CI) remains a critical issue that requires further investigation. Objective: To evaluate the role of preoperative aided threshold (AT) testing in selecting the optimal CI side for patients with bilateral SNHL caused by head trauma. Methods This study included 9 patients with bilateral SNHL resulting from head trauma.

Lipid metabolism and microbial regulation analyses provide insights into the energy-saving strategies of hibernating snakes - Communications Biology
Abstract Hibernation is a necessary means for animals to maintain survival while coping with low temperatures and food shortages. While most studies have largely focused on mammalian hibernation, its reptilian equivalent has been less studied. In order to provide insights into the energy metabolism and potential microbial regulatory mechanisms in hibernating snakes, the serum, liver, gut content samples were measured by multi-omic methods.

Refined Short‐Term Forecasting Atmospheric Temperature Profiles in the Stratosphere Based on Operators Learning of Neural Networks
1 Introduction The atmosphere in near space is a region between the lower troposphere and the upper ionosphere atmosphere. There are complex physical-chemical coupling processes such as dynamic, thermal and material exchange with the lower and upper atmosphere, exhibiting unique evolutionary laws and fluctuation characteristics (Offermann et al., 2010; Smith, 2012). Therefore, the temporal and spatial distributions of atmospheric physical parameters in near space are very complex.
