High-quality haplotype-resolved genome assemblies of two phenotypically divergent strains of Lepista sordida (Basidiomycota) , Hua8 and L-2
Abstract We report high-quality, haplotype-resolved diploid genome assemblies for two phenotypically divergent Lepista sordida strains, Hua8 and L-2. Using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 and PacBio HiFi sequencing, we assembled two haplotypes per strain. Hua8 haplotypes measure ~49.06 Mb and ~44.33 Mb (total ~93.39 Mb), and L-2 haplotypes measure ~57.03 Mb and ~47.93 Mb (total ~104.97 Mb). Each assembly consists of 24 scaffolds with high continuity, exhibiting multi-megabase N50 values.

Reduced serum adiponectin and exercise predict depression in chronic heart failure patients and affect depressive-like behaviors in a mouse model
Abstract Background: Chronic heart failure (CHF) is frequently comorbid with depression and anxiety. Currently, we aim to investigate the association between serum adiponectin levels and depression among patients with CHF. Methods: A total of 119 patients with HF in a tertiary hospital in southern China were enrolled. All patients completed the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) upon discharge. Serum levels of adiponectin, ghrelin, leptin A, and BDNF were measured.
Physical activity delays ovarian aging in part through adiponectin-related signaling pathways
Abstract Ovarian aging leads to infertility, endocrine dysregulation and increased chronic disease risk, yet there are currently no approved therapies to delay ovarian aging. Physical activity (PA) is a crucial lifestyle factor for human health and antiaging, but its effects and mechanisms on ovarian aging remain unclear.
Association of monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio with non-calcified plaques in subclinical coronary atherosclerosis: a cross-sectional study in hypertensive patients
Abstract Background: Hypertension is a major driver of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), many hypertensive patients harbor occult subclinical coronary atherosclerosis (SCA). The monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR), a novel biomarker integrating inflammation and lipid metabolism, has emerged as a potential risk indicator. However, its value in identifying coronary artery characteristics in asymptomatic hypertensive populations remains unclear.
Intermetallic Pt 3 In concave tetrahedra for oxygen reduction electrocatalysis in proton exchange membrane fuel cells
Abstract Scaling proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) demands efficient and durable electrocatalysts for the cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Concave surfaces and intermetallic phases have been proven to promote the activity and stability of Pt-based catalysts, yet integrating these two structural features in one catalyst remains challenging.
Oocyte-specific knockout of eIF2B subunits causes apoptosis of mouse oocytes within the early growing follicles via DNA damage and mitochondrial dysfunction
Abstract Mutations in several translation initiation factors are closely associated with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). In this study, we demonstrated that the conditional knockout of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B (eIF2B) subunits Eif2b2, Eif2b3, Eif2b4 or Eif2b5, but not Eif2b1, in mouse oocytes of primordial follicles caused oocyte apoptosis within the early growing follicles.

Indium-Based Octahedra Coordinating Pb–I Termini for Stable Perovskites
Abstract Halide perovskite degradation initiates at surfaces/interfaces, where defect accumulation disrupts octahedral connectivity and triggers structural collapse. Herein, we design an indium-based octahedral motifs, i.e., (PMA)4InCl7 (PIC) (PMA=phenylmethylammonium) featuring disordered octahedra and (PMA)4NaInCl8 (PNIC) with ordered octahedral frameworks, as robust coordination agent to bind Pb-I termini at the surface/interface.
PSCSE: prompt-based contrastive learning with sample filtering for unsupervised sentence embedding
Abstract Unsupervised sentence representation learning is critical in natural language processing. Recently, contrastive learning methods achieved remarkable performance by optimizing the alignment and uniformity of embedding spaces. Nevertheless, the dominant methods mainly focus on the data augmentation for the positive samples but ignore the sampling approach for the negative samples. Most methods rely on the random in-batch sampling approach for the generation of the negative samples.
Deciphering electrochemomechanical interplay in rechargeable aqueous Zn||MnO 2 batteries
Abstract Electrochemical reactions are generally accompanied by mechanical evolutions, which, in turn, play a critical role in the performance of the electrochemical system. In aqueous Zn||MnO2 batteries, the intrinsically structural instability of MnO2 and rampant side reactions create considerable strain/stress changes in operation. However, the electrochemistry-mechanics-performance relationship of the Zn||MnO2 cell is still missing.

Generalizable CT-free PET attenuation and scatter correction via few-shot cross domain adaptation
Abstract The rapid advancements in PET technology, coupled with the need for accurate and efficient imaging, necessitate the development of robust and generalizable methods for CT-free attenuation and scatter correction (ASC). Deep learning offers a promising solution, but exhibits limited performance when tested in diverse clinical settings and varying imaging conditions.
Explainable deep learning framework incorporating medical knowledge for insulin titration in diabetes - Communications Medicine
Abstract Deep learning has shown promise in diabetes management but faces challenges in real-world application due to its “black-box” nature, characterized by opaque internal decision-making processes. Explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) methods have been proposed to enhance model transparency. However, most of current XAI methods applied in the medical field often ignore the interaction of features in complex environments and pose deviation from clinical domain knowledge.

Silicon nitride nanocomposites at the buried interface for stable perovskite solar cells - Nature Photonics
Abstract Long-term stability of perovskite modules under outdoor conditions remains challenging, hindering their commercialization. Defect evolution driven by charge accumulation is as a key factor deteriorating the performance of perovskite optoelectronic devices. Here we introduce an amorphous (shell)–crystalline (core) silicon nitride (Si3N4) nanocomposite at the buried interface of perovskite solar cells.

The Riemann-Hilbert Approach for the Discrete Hirota Equations in a Nonzero Background
The primary objective of this article is to obtain soliton solutions for the discrete Hirota equation under nonzero boundary conditions, utilizing the Riemann–Hilbert approach. A suitable Riemann–Hilbert problem was formulated employing the Jost solution and the reflection coefficient. The potential was subsequently resolved through the application of the residue theorem and the Laurent series.

Abstract This article presents a novel hybrid fuzzy-tuned dual-stage fractional-order (Fo) PI (1 + PDF) controller designed for the robust attitude control of fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) under varying aerodynamic uncertainties and wind disturbances. By integrating fractional calculus, dual-stage proportional–integral–derivative (PID) control, and fuzzy logic (FL), the proposed controller aims to enhance performance significantly over traditional methods.

Metabolic versatility of aerobic methane‐oxidizing bacteria under anoxia in aquatic ecosystems
INTRODUCTION Dissolved oxygen (DO) in aquatic ecosystems has declined over the past half-century, primarily because of global warming (Breitburg et al., 2018; Jane et al., 2021; Schmidtko et al., 2017; Zhi et al., 2023). Besides reducing the solubility of O2, greenhouse gas-driven warming raises metabolic rates and results in accelerating aquatic O2 consumption (Keeling et al., 2010).
