Time-Varying Quantile VAR Models: Estimation and Inference
We study time-varying quantile VAR models in which the conditional quantile does not propagate linearly through the recursion, and develop a toolkit for impulse response analysis, which to the best of our knowledge has not been established elsewhere.
Three-Dimensional Simulation of Tile Drainage System for Farmland: Quantifying Tile Drainage Impacts on Hydrological Cycle
1 Introduction Tile drainage is a widely used water management technique that improves crop growth in areas with high water tables or poorly draining soils by facilitating gravity-driven water removal, enhancing trafficability, and ensuring timely field operations (Awale et al., 2015; Moore, 2016). In the United States, this technique plays a critical role in agriculture, with over 80% of tile-drained fields concentrated in six Midwestern states.
Gut microbiota-supportive dietary patterns and rheumatoid arthritis: the mediating role of the systemic immune-inflammation index
English Background: the gut microbiota has emerged as a potential contributor to autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), through its role in modulating systemic inflammation. However, few studies have evaluated whether adherence to microbiota-supportive dietary patterns is associated with RA in population-based settings. Methods: this study analyzed data from 21.352 adults in the 2010-2020 cycles of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
HSP70-mediated regulation of P-glycoprotein SUMOylation suppresses ferroptosis to drive thermoresistance in non-small cell lung cancer
Abstract Objective: Hyperthermia is a potential therapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC); however, cell resistance to hyperthermia remains challenging. This study investigated the role of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in regulating small ubiquitin-like modifier modification (SUMOylation) of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) in the resistance of NSCLC cells to hyperthermia.

Machine learning-driven identification of key chemical determinants of tobacco leaf sensory irritation
Abstract Introduction: To identify the key chemical components affecting the sensory irritation of tobacco leaves, a binary classification model for high and low irritation was constructed based on 78 chemical components and sensory evaluation scores of 353 tobacco leaf samples. Methods: First, the median absolute deviation (MAD) method was applied to remove outliers from the high- and low-irritation samples.
A framework for the exploration of subcellular compartmentalization of RNA-binding proteins
|
Abstract The ability of RNA-binding proteins to form complexes with other biomolecules underpins a broad range of structural properties and functions. Understanding the subcellular distribution of RNA-binding proteins and their interacting partners in the steady state and upon perturbation can therefore shed light on these aspects.

Assessing the Impact of Agrivoltaics on Water, Energy, and Carbon Cycles Using the Community Land Model Version 5
1 Introduction Renewable energy sources (RES) have emerged as fundamental solutions for meeting rising worldwide energy demands, gradually supplanting traditional energy reservoirs (Dincer, 2000; Weselek et al., 2019). Within the spectrum of RES, solar power emerges as a promising option due to its substantial contribution to reducing carbon footprints and mitigating climate change.

Heterogeneous graph neural network-based prediction of immune-related adverse events - Scientific Reports
Abstract Immune-related adverse events (irAEs) are common and potentially fatal adverse events. However, predicting irAEs based on clinical medication regimens and basic patient information remains a significant clinical challenge. This study aims to develop a prediction model using graph neural networks with electronic health records (EHRs), thereby reducing irAEs risk. Our method based on heterogeneous graph networks.

An Isolated Red Plaque on the Anterior Chest
A 6-year-old girl presented to an outpatient clinic with a history of a red plaque on her chest for over 4 years. Her parents first noticed the asymptomatic, round red lesion, approximately 3 mm in diameter, when she was 2 years old. The lesion had well-defined borders, a smooth surface, and visible dilated blood vessels. She was evaluated at a local hospital at the time, diagnosed with a birthmark, and no treatment was administered. However, the lesion gradually enlarged and became slightly sunken.
A Unified Framework to Reconcile Different Approaches of Modeling Transpiration Response to Water Stress: Plant Hydraulics, Supply Demand Balance, and Empirical Soil Water Stress Function
1 Introduction Transpiration is a critical hydrological process, which closely integrates ecosystem water, energy, and carbon cycles through the regulation of stomatal conductance. It is a major component of evapotranspiration (ET; c. 57% of global terrestrial ET) (Wei et al., 2017), which recycles 60% of precipitation back to the atmosphere (Oki & Kanae, 2006). Transpiration is vital for plant health, growth and development.

Remarkable flexibility in freestanding single-crystalline antiferroelectric PbZrO3 membranes - Nature Communications
Abstract The ultrahigh flexibility and elasticity achieved in freestanding single-crystalline ferroelectric oxide membranes have attracted much attention recently. However, for antiferroelectric oxides, the flexibility limit and fundamental mechanism in their freestanding membranes are still not explored clearly. Here, we successfully fabricate freestanding single-crystalline PbZrO3 membranes by a water-soluble sacrificial layer technique.

msCNVS: medium throughput single cell copy number variation sequencing with barcoded library construction free of preamplification toward clinical implementation
Abstract Single cell copy number variation sequencing (scCNV-seq) is valuable for genomic analysis of a variety of health and disease systems, yet the available methods either depend on either preamplification of the whole genome of each cell, special devices or untracable, which hinder scCNV-seq practice in clinics.
Arthroscopic Modified Double-Pulley Suture-Bridge Repair of Medium-Sized Supraspinatus Tendon Tears
Abstract At present, the repair patterns for medium-sized supraspinatus tendon tears are double- and single-row repairs. However, the limitations of double-row repair include excessive anchor implantation and incremental surgical cost and time, whereas a deficient tendon-bone contact area exists with single-row repair.

Knowledge-guided machine learning can improve carbon cycle quantification in agroecosystems - Nature Communications
Abstract Accurate and cost-effective quantification of the carbon cycle for agroecosystems at decision-relevant scales is critical to mitigating climate change and ensuring sustainable food production. However, conventional process-based or data-driven modeling approaches alone have large prediction uncertainties due to the complex biogeochemical processes to model and the lack of observations to constrain many key state and flux variables.

6. Discussion 6.1. Analysis of LULC Change Characteristics in Baicheng Over the past nearly 70 years, located in the transition zone between farming and pastoral areas, Baicheng city’s cropland and grassland have always been the two largest types of land use, accounting for about 2/3 of the total area of Baicheng. The overall trend of LULC change in Baicheng is a decrease in the area of dryland, grassland, and marshland, while the area of other land use types has increased.

Ultrahigh Energy Storage Capacitors Based on Freestanding Single‐Crystalline Antiferroelectric Membrane/PVDF Composites
Abstract Inorganic/organic dielectric composites are very attractive for high energy density electrostatic capacitors. Usually, linear dielectric and ferroelectric materials are chosen as inorganic fillers to improve energy storage performance. Antiferroelectric (AFE) materials, especially single-crystalline AFE oxides, have relatively high efficiency and higher density than linear dielectrics or ferroelectrics.
