What was your first job as a journalist?
In 8th grade I was somehow editor of the school paper. Mostly this meant staying after school once a month to staple copies of each edition.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. But it was one that beeped at me when I spelled words wrong - and that's how I learned to spell.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email only please. I can get through a ton of info every day as long as it all comes through my inbox.
What's your favorite social network?
Email newsletters are greatly underappreciated. We need more of them.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My high school had a radio station so I hung out there instead. Mostly because you couldn't play your favorite bands on the newspaper.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime is fine when it's on email!
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
It's a PR pitch that is under embargo (it's that new) but oh man, it was amazing. So off-topic, so bizarre, so amazing. I kind of love it.
