Astrophysics > Solar and Stellar Astrophysics
Solar eruptions often drive shock waves. When propagating in the solar corona, strong shock waves would leave imprints on the solar surface in the chromosphere, which are called Moreton waves. Moreton waves generally decay as they move away.
Magmatic evolution characteristics and heterogeneity of the outer zone of the Emeishan Large Igneous Province: a case study of basalts from the Tianquan and Huayingshan areas
Abstract The Emeishan Large Igneous Province (ELIP) is extensively exposed in Southwest China, representing the first Mesozoic large igneous province recognised internationally. The mantle plume petrogenetic model has been widely accepted; however, most existing studies have focused on the ‘inner zone’ corresponding to the plume head region, leaving the magmatic evolution patterns of the outer zone lacking systematic constraints.
Navigating the Paradigm Shift in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: Insights From EHA 2026
To the Editor, For over a decade, the overarching therapeutic paradigm in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) has centered on converting a fatal malignancy into a manageable chronic condition—a milestone largely realized through the advent of covalent Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors (cBTKi) and B-cell lymphoma 2 inhibitors (BCL2i) [1].
Imaging the hallmarks of cancer
Abstract The hallmarks of cancer were introduced by Hanahan and Weinberg as a conceptual organizing framework to distil the complexity of tumours. This concept of cancer hallmarks has become an enduring theme in cancer research. Moreover, an increasing number of therapeutic strategies are being aimed at targeting these hallmarks.
Lagrange dualities for DC infinite optimization problems
In the present paper, we study the Lagrange dualities of the DC infinite optimization problems. By using the properties of the epigraph of the conjugate functions, we provide characterizations for the DC infinite optimization problem to have the stable weak Lagrange dualities and the stable Lagrange dualities. Applications to DC semi-infinite programming, DC conic programming and convex infinite programming are given. No potential conflict of interest was reported by the author(s). J. F.
We report on an all-fiber polarization-maintained (PM) erbium-based nonlinear amplifying loop mirror mode-locked laser (figure-9). Due to a hybrid optical element, the laser can be operated in a simple and compact configuration with a high repetition rate reaching up to 247 MHz. By balancing the length of the Er-doped active fiber and the PM-1550 passive fiber, the cavity dispersion was designed to be near zero to negative.

Phase sensitivity of the pair-creation process in colliding laser pulses
We examine the electron-positron pair-creation process from the quantum vacuum triggered by two colliding laser beams in the presence of a nuclear binding potential. Once the two pulses overlap, they form a standing-wave pattern with nodes or antinodes in the region where the nucleus is placed. As the resulting spatial intensity pattern depends on the phase between both fields, it can be used to control the pair-creation yield.

Plasma application in atomic layer etching
Thermal as well as ion-enhanced ALE greatly increase the number of etchable materials compared to RIE. In principle, this is caused by a reduction of the by-product desorption temperature in the removal step via reaction with a second chemical. The reaction by-products can be volatilized at temperatures still low enough for incoming reactants in the modification step to chemisorb to the surface.
Universal DNA methylation age across mammalian tissues - Nature Aging
|
Abstract Aging, often considered a result of random cellular damage, can be accurately estimated using DNA methylation profiles, the foundation of pan-tissue epigenetic clocks. Here, we demonstrate the development of universal pan-mammalian clocks, using 11,754 methylation arrays from our Mammalian Methylation Consortium, which encompass 59 tissue types across 185 mammalian species. These predictive models estimate mammalian tissue age with high accuracy (r > 0.96).

Different techniques reveal the difference of community structure and function of fungi from root and rhizosphere of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge
INTRODUCTION Many different microorganisms inhabit plant surfaces and internal organs. The root and its rhizosphere have the highest microbial diversity and activity (Van den Koornhuyse et al. 2015). In plants, fungi appear to have additional functions for plant growth. For example, Jaroszuk-Ściseł et al. (2019) reported that Trichoderma spp. promoted winter wheat seed growth by producing indole acetic acid (IAA) and gibberellic acid (GA). Jogaiah et al.
