NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tennessee K-12 teachers are now able to qualify for additional home-buying assistance through an expansion of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s Homeownership for Heroes Program. The program, which helps eligible public servants purchase homes, has expanded to include state educators. Through the program, participants may receive up to $15,000 in down payment assistance and a .5% reduction on the current THDA Great Choice loan interest rate.
