Tiburon is moving forward with upgrades to the Bel Aire Play Area despite increased costs. The Town Council vote 4-0 on Wednesday to approve an $812,363 contract with W.R. Forde Associates Inc. of Richmond to complete the work. Mayor Jon Welner was absent. The council also approved a budget amendment for the project. The contract brings the total project cost to a little over $1 million. Funding comes from the park development and Old Rail Trail reserve fund.
