QUINCY (WGEM) - Sunday morning breakfast at the Hesseltine house includes hotcakes, hash brown casserole and a side of harmony. Once a month, the family hosts world-renowned trombone player Bob Havens for breakfast and music. Laura and Ryan Hesseltine are lifelong musicians who met in the University of Iowa Hawkeye Marching Band. They reconnected at an alumni band event and eventually married. Their sons share the same passion. Twelve-year-old Elliot Sievert plays trumpet.

Hugo’s big adventure ends with neighborhood rescue

QUINCY (WGEM) - A 14-year-old mini schnauzer named Hugo was reunited with his family after a 15-hour search that brought together neighbors, friends and strangers in the 48th and Harrison Street area. Hugo escaped from the Hall family home when Magan Hall left around 7:30 a.m.. Her parents, who were watching the children, texted her asking if she had Hugo. “Usually, he’ll come right back to the door, so after an hour, and we didn’t find him, I was getting kind of nervous,” Tyler Hall said.
