MAPT -derived circTau6 induces tau pathogenesis and neurodegeneration by encoding Tau variants
Abstract Imbalanced accumulation of microtubule-associated protein tau containing three or four repeat domains (3 R or 4 R tau) is a core feature of tauopathies, which may result from alternative splicing of the MAPT mRNA. However, specific mechanisms yielding the imbalance were underinvestigated. Here, we identify a circular RNA (circTau6) derived from the MAPT gene in the human brain. CircTau6 was rolling-translated into novel 4 R tau variants, cTau4R.

3. Results 3.1. Stress–Strain Curves of Cf-MWCNT/SiC Composites under High Strain Rate Impact Figure 6 shows the stress–strain results of the Cf-MWCNT/SiC composites at different impact strain rates. The quasi-static result tested at 0.001 s−1 strain rate in out-of-plane direction (Figure 6b) shows the composites failed at ~8% strain with a sudden and catastrophic break, implying the main failure behavior is dominated by ceramic matrix.
