Clustering-local-unique-enriched-signals (CLUES) promotes identification of novel regulators of ES cell self-renewal and pluripotency
Here, we present a method named Clustering-Local-Unique-Enriched-Signals (CLUES), which uses an adaptive-size-windows strategy to identify enriched regions (ERs) and cluster them into broad enrichment signals. Tested on 62 ENCODE ChIP-Seq datasets of Ctcf and Nrsf, CLUES performs equally well as MACS2 regarding prioritization of ERs with the TF’s motif.
Structural Changes in Provincial Emission Transfers within China
Chinese provinces ultimately implement China’s national climate policies. In the 2000s, there were unbalanced emission transfers (emissions produced in one region but consumed in other regions) between China’s well- and less-developed regions, mainly related to demand in the well-developed eastern provinces. In the past decade, the plateau in China’s exported emissions and changes in its industrial structure suggest that the features of the provincial emission transfers could have changed.

Electrochemical Exfoliation of Carbon Dots with the Narrowest Full Width at Half Maximum of Fluorescent Spectra in Ultraviolet Region Using Only Water as Electrolyte - Chemical Communications (RSC Publishing)
The broad fluorescence spectra of traditional Carbon Dots (CDs) were generally observed in the visible region with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of dozens of nanometers. Here, a novel kind of CDs was electrochemically exfoliated from graphite rods in distilled water as the only electrolyte. The as-exfoliated CDs showed two significant features: the narrowest fluorescence spectra with FWHM of only 10 nm and the ultraviolet fluorescence spectra in the region up to 360 nm.
