A robust high-performance H 2 S sensor enabling real-world wireless monitoring
Abstract Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a highly toxic and corrosive gas that requires continuous, real-time monitoring at ultra-low concentrations in complex environments. Here we report a wireless, ultra-low-power H2S sensing platform for long-term, on-site detection. The device achieves a response exceeding 10,000%, a calculated detection limit of 0.328 ppb, and a 7 s response at room temperature, while consuming less than 0.7 μW.

Anthraquinones derived from soil actinomycetes combat multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus - Communications Biology
Abstract The global spread of multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) poses serious threats to public health and food safety. In this study, the antibacterial potential of the anthraquinone compound 13394-2, derived from soil actinomycetes, was systematically evaluated. In vitro, 13394-2 exhibited potent activity (MIC as low as 0.25 μg/mL), rapid bactericidal effects, biofilm clearance, and concentration-dependent killing.

Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Exosomes: A Promising Therapeutic Strategy for Spinal Cord Injury
Abstract Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a central nervous system injury caused by external forces or pathological factors, and traumatic SCI is the most common. If not treated promptly, traumatic SCI can cause secondary injury and neuroinflammation, leading to the proliferation of glial cells and formation of glial scars. Clinically, SCI is usually treated with surgical intervention, pharmacological therapy, or rehabilitation. However, good outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Dental Caries as a Potential Risk Factor for Asthma: Evidence From Mendelian Randomization Analysis
Background Dental caries is a widespread oral disease linked to systemic health. Asthma, a chronic airway condition, impacts quality of life and may influence oral health. While evidence on the association between asthma and caries is inconclusive, some studies suggest asthma increases caries risk. This study applies Mendelian randomization (MR) to investigate their potential causal relationship.
Tomato Chlorotic Virus Minor Coat Protein Interferes With the Host Proteasome Function by Competitive Disruption of SlPAD1-SlPA4 Interaction to Enhance Viral Infection - Wang - 2025 - Molecular Plant Pathology - Wiley Online Library
1 Introduction During growth, plants are vulnerable to infection by various pathogenic microorganisms, which can significantly impair plant development and, in severe cases, lead to plant mortality. The gene expression and replication cycles of plant viruses are fundamentally dependent on the utilisation of the macromolecular machinery of the host cell.
Ai evidence in criminal proceedings in China: challenges and solutions
ABSTRACT The rise in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) evidence in criminal proceedings has created significant legal challenges; subsequently, the reliability of AI evidence has become an important issue in all jurisdictions. Various factors, such as errors, algorithmic bias, and algorithmic black boxes, influence the reliability of AI evidence. Moreover, AI evidence was not recognized as reliable at the beginning of its life cycle.

Bacteriophage protein Dap2 inhibits bacterial type III secretion system and synergizes with Dap1 to evade anti-phage immunity
Abstract The evolutionary arms race between bacterial immunity and phages has driven the emergence of sophisticated anti-defense systems (ADSs). However, certain ADSs exhibit incomplete suppression of their cognate defense systems, suggesting functional cooperation between multiple ADSs targeting the same bacterial safeguard.

RetS senses neurotransmitter norepinephrine and adrenergic agents to regulate Pseudomonas aeruginosa virulence
Abstract Bacterial cells employ diverse mechanisms to perceive and respond to host-associated molecules, coordinate intracellular signal transduction, and engage in interkingdom communications. In this study, we firstly discovered that the adrenergic antagonist dronedarone (DDR) effectively suppresses quorum sensing (QS) and pathogenesis of the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
