Breast carcinoma amplified sequence 2 rescues adult hippocampal neurogenesis and cognitive deficits in Alzheimer’s disease via regulating BDNF/TrkB signaling
Abstract Adult hippocampal neurogenesis (AHN) occurs throughout lifespan of humans and rodents and is correlated with memory performance and cognitive plasticity. In Alzheimer’s disease (AD), AHN is impeded, while the molecular basis behind this impairment remains to be elucidated. Here we identified Breast carcinoma amplified sequence 2 (BCAS2), a core component of the CDC5L/Prp19 spliceosome complex, regulating AHN in AD.
Contrasting plant trait strategies underpin ecosystem stability in temperate and alpine grasslands
Abstract Plant functional traits are key drivers of ecosystem stability, yet the extent to which trait-stability relationships vary among different ecosystems remains poorly understood. Here, we provide a comparative analysis of trait-stability relationships across temperate and alpine grasslands.
From digital to real: The technology convergence and its impact on corporate employment expansion
Abstract Promoting the deep integration of digital and real economy technologies and achieving high-quality full employment are important tasks in China’s high-quality economic development strategy. Based on panel data from Chinese A-share listed firms from 2014 to 2023, this paper measures technology convergence between digital and real economy industries (TCDR) from a micro perspective and empirically examines its employment effects.
Genus-wide comparative genomics identifies the Cupriavidus gilardii species complex as a high-AMR-burden lineage
Abstract The environmentally versatile genus Cupriavidus is increasingly recognized as an underappreciated reservoir of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and a source of multidrug-resistant opportunistic infections, yet its species diversity, resistome structure, and clinically relevant lineages remain poorly resolved. Here, we analyzed 476 high-quality Cupriavidus genomes, including the complete genome of a newly sequenced multidrug-resistant clinical isolate, C.

Geometry-Guided Screening of Metal/Oxide Heterointerfaces Enables Superior Sodium Metal Batteries at −40 °C
1 Introduction Maintaining the reliable operation of rechargeable batteries in extreme cold is critical for energy security across polar and alpine regions, as well as for supporting military systems and exploration missions in deep-sea and extraterrestrial environments [1-5]. However, ultralow-temperature operation severely compromises the capacity retention and cycling stability of commercial lithium-ion batteries, limiting their reliability in extreme environments [6-8].

Lymphocyte activation gene 3 in autoimmune disease: from molecular mechanisms to clinical applications
Abstract Lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG3) has become an important immune checkpoint receptor, which plays a crucial role in regulating the immune response. The immunoregulatory function of LAG3 is achieved through complex receptor-ligand interactions, structure-function relationships, and unique signaling pathways. The role of LAG3 in cancers has been widely explored, and drugs targeting LAG3 are constantly emerging, demonstrating promising application prospects.

An open fMRI dataset examining the effects of online social and non-social information distraction on attention
Abstract A publicly available, BIDS-compliant multimodal dataset is presented for studying the impact of digital information distraction on attentional processing. Thirty-eight young adults underwent fMRI scanning while performing a global-local attention task under three conditions: social notifications, non-social notifications, and a no-distraction baseline.
Intense pulsed light rejuvenates UVB-induced photoaging in human keratinocytes and guinea pig skin by inhibition of ERK-AP-1-MMP pathway
Abstract Skin photoaging is predominantly induced by ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a commonly employed non-ablative treatment for photoaging. However, the effects and mechanisms of IPL on UV-induced skin photoaging remain insufficiently understood. In this study, we aimed to examine the anti-photoaging effects of IPL and elucidate the underlying mechanisms.
Meta-Learning–Driven Score-Based Generative Model for 0.5T-to-1.5T MRI Reconstruction
You are already at the latest version Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquired at low magnetic field strengths typically suffers from reduced signal-to-noise ratios (SNR), which leads to noticeable signal degradation compared with high-field MRI. As a result, reconstructing high-field-like images from low-field MRI data is a challenging task due to the inherently ill-posed nature of the problem.

Increasing polymyxin resistance in clinical carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strains in China between 2000 and 2023 - Communications Medicine
Abstract Development of polymyxin resistance in carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) poses a severe challenge to public health. Here we aimed to perform a retrospective study of prevalence and molecular characteristics of polymyxin-resistant CRKP strains. 4455 clinical CRKP strains from 18 provinces in China during 2000 to 2023 were collected. Polymyxin-resistant CRKP strains were subjected to antimicrobial susceptibility testing, whole genome sequencing and bioinformatic analysis.

Structural insights into transmembrane helix S0 facilitated RyR1 channel gating by Ca2+/ATP - Nature Communications
Abstract The type-1 ryanodine receptor (RyR1) is an intracellular calcium release channel for skeletal muscle excitation-contraction coupling. Previous structural studies showed that the RyR1 activity is modulated by the exogenous regulators including caffeine, ryanodine, PCB-95 and diamide. An additional transmembrane helix, located adjacent to S1 and S4, has been observed in some structures, although its function remains unclear.

PM2.5 triggers tau aggregation in a mouse model of tauopathy
Abstract The aggregation and prion-like propagation of tau are the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other tauopathies. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the assembly and spread of tau pathology remain elusive. Epidemiological data show that exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is associated with an increased risk of AD. However, the molecular mechanisms remain unknown. Here, we showed that PM2.5 triggered the aggregation of tau and promoted the formation of tau fibrils.
