2022 NFL OTA Report: Can You Buy Into Mac Jones and the Patriots Revamped Offense For Fantasy Football?
We are not far off from diving deep into our fantasy football research for the 2022 NFL season. When you take fantasy football as seriously as Fantasy Alarm members, there is no offseason. Whether it’s dynasty leagues, best ball tournaments, or fantasy football mock drafts, we don’t stop. And no, not every week is going to have huge breaking stories like the Tyreek Hill trade or or Tom Brady unretiring.
2022 Fantasy Football Draft Strategies: Why I’m Targeting Rashod Bateman Everywhere
Draft picks change our fantasy football rankings every year. The 2022 NFL Draft was no different. Still, I’m honestly not sure of the last time a draft-day move changed my ranking of a single player as drastically as this one. Plus, it wasn’t even an NFL Draft pick that did it – it was a trade. So today we are going to discuss how the Baltimore Ravens' draft-day trade of Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals boosted Rashod Bateman's fantasy football ranking.
Dallas Cowboys Trade Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns
Adam Schefter is reporting that Amari Cooper will be traded to the Cleveland Browns. And let’s call it what it is - a salary dump. Here’s the “trade.” Browns get: Amari Cooper Sixth round pick Cowboys get: Fifth round pick Sixth round pick The sixth-round picks are unspecified in what year but it’s close enough to a wash that we can call this a fifth round pick for Amari Cooper.

2021 NFL Draft: Mock Draft 2.0
The 2021 NFL Draft is less than a week away and the rumors and hot takes are swirling! Not much has changed news-wise since our Mock Draft 1.0 went live last week - but that doesn’t mean my opinions haven’t fluctuated. Which quarterback will the 49ers draft? Which teams will trade up (or down) in the first round? Who will your favorite team select? These are all questions I try to answer and more with this second version of my NFL Mock Draft.
Fantasy Football Running Back Handcuff Report: Week 17
Published: Dec 30, 2020 Whether you’re trying to win your season long league’s championship or setting up a DFS lineup, playing fantasy football in Week 17 can be very tricky. Not only are you taking individual player matchups and injuries into account, but you also have to be concerned that some teams might not play all of their top stars. NFL teams that have already clinched a playoff spot might not want to risk having one of their top players getting hurt.

NFL Target Analysis: Week 11
Published: Nov 27, 2020 Last week I was devoting too much of this space to tight ends, and then they all went out and scored touchdowns. It is nice to have a few more tight ends we feel like we can trust considering just a couple of weeks ago it seemed like Travis Kelce and Darren Waller were the only must-start guys at the position. Dallas Goedert looked like a must-start last week, catching five of six targets for 77 yards and a touchdown.
NFL Weekly Match-Up Report: Week 12
Published: Nov 26, 2020 Thanksgiving games are here this week and the all-important fantasy football Week 12. For some, this is the last week of the regular season and for others, this is the penultimate week ahead of the playoffs. Either way, there are no bye weeks and with every team playing it’s a great chance to look to gain an unexpected edge in match-ups for DFS or seasonal.
Fantasy Football IDP Report: Week 12
Published: Nov 25, 2020 As noted immediately below, there are no off-week teams to worry about this week, it being Thanksgiving and all. And the latest bye week in history, Week 13, only has two teams that will not provide fantasy points from any of their players.
Fantasy Football Stock Watch: Week 10 (Video)
Published: Nov 17, 2020 Week 10 was lighter on the injuries, but heavy on the fantasy non-factors scoring touchdowns. Rex Burkhead , Devontae Booker and Willie Snead were some of the players not in most fantasy football lineups that scored two touchdowns in week 10. Alex Collins even ran one in. Drew Brees investors got their hearts broken after he didn't play the entire second half due to rib injury.
NFL DFS Week 7: Thursday Night Showdown Slate
Published: Oct 22, 2020 Welcome to the Thursday Night Showdown Slate for NFL Week 7! When the schedule-makers put this one on the calendar there were a lot higher hopes for seeing a good game. But then Saquon Barkley went down, the Giants offensive line still stinks, all the Eagles receivers are hurt and their offensive line is just as bad right now. So goes life in the NFC Least. Doesn’t mean we still can’t play this game for DFS, though. Let’s get at it.
NFL Weekly Survivor Plays: Week 6
Despite Dak Prescott 's gruesome injury, the Cowboys were able to hold off the Giants and make my choice a successful one for Week 5. The multiple Covid positive tests have thrown the NFL schedule in a cement mixer. Planning your survivor pool picks ahead of time, based on bye weeks, has become a crapshoot. I think it’s time to not look too far ahead and go week to week as we don’t know what’s going to happen on a weekly basis.
2020 NFL Draft Guide: Training Camp Battles
Published: Jul 23, 2020 Opportunity is extremely important in fantasy football. Often times there are talented players in situations that don't result in enough volume. Training camp battles are important to determine who gets more volume or targets and it will be challenging this year due to the coronavirus and the likelihood of no preseason games. It becomes more challenging for rookies to make an impression on the coaches. Here are some of the interesting position battles to monitor.
Fantasy Football Handcuff Report: Week 6
Published: Oct 10, 2019 Arizona Cardinals David Johnson owners need to watch his progress as game time approaches as he battles a back issue that he played through in Week 5. Johnson’s back “locked up” throughout his matchup against the Bengals this past Sunday. Backup Chase Edmonds , is a must own for Johnson owners, as head coach Kliff Kingsbury is calling Johnson a game-time decision. Edmonds tied his career high with eight carries this past Sunday, and rushed for a career-high 68 yards.
Fantasy Football Stock Watch: Week 2
Welcome back FANation! Week 2 is in the books and we are starting to get a big sample to work with. Anything can happen in a single game, but multiple games gives us a trend to build off of and give us a better idea of what is real and what isn’t. Also with each week there will be multiple injuries, and those will always change surrounding players stocks as well. Feel free to shoot me feedback or anything else in the live chats or on Twitter @JustinVreeland.
NFL Training Camp Battles: August 26
Before training camp started, we looked at the key battles to watch throughout the preseason on each team. Today we’ll come full circle as we wrap up the Training Camp Battles series now that the meaningful portion of preseason action is over. Buffalo Bills Robert Foster was the big loser of camp for the Bills. Buffalo brought in John Brown and Cole Beasley as free agents, and they look to be the top two receivers.
2019 Fantasy Hockey: Waiver Wire Report February 2
The NHL season is in full swing and that means so is fantasy hockey! It’s a long grind to get to the playoffs, and an even tougher challenge to win it all. Like every year, injuries are going to happen to key players, which means we need to be active on the waiver wire. The waiver wire can help you win a championship, so it’s important to add the right players at the right time. Let’s take a look at which players are worth looking adding for the upcoming week.
2018 NFL Injury Report: January 4
Happy and healthy New Year to everyone as we ring in 2019 and the NFL playoffs. Congratulations are in order for all of the GMs who won leagues by overcoming adversity due to a rash of injuries to key players down the stretch. There are many postseason fantasy leagues to participate in, so we are here to keep you apprised of all the significant playoff injuries.
Eagles vs. Saints - Box Score - November 18, 2018 - ESPN
The Saints' absurd offensive pace continues with a 23-yard TD pass from Drew Brees to Michael Thomas to begin the second half for a 31-7 lead over the Eagles. The Saints have now scored on 5 of 6 possessions today and 16 of their last 17 (not counting end-of-game situations).
NFL Snap Counts Breakdown: Week 9
Tracking snap counts is a good way to get an indication of how much a player is on the field, and what their future usage outlook could look like. Next to each player’s name you will see a number inside of parenthesis, for example John Smith (2), that 2 would represent how many snaps he played this week. We are going to dive into some of the more interesting situations around the league regarding snap count numbers.
NFL Week 3 Hot Takes
Just because it’s your first reaction doesn’t mean it’s an overreaction, does it? There’s nothing wrong with going with your gut instincts, right? Okay, maybe in some cases. In others, not so much. After everything that went down in Week 3…and believe me, it’s a lot…it’s time for some hot takes. Some may be considered sensible. Some may not. But what’s most important is that you’re paying attention to everything going on and already starting to think about Week 4. No, not your lineup decisions, stupid.

Boxing News: Anthony Joshua targets Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte fights after seeing off Alexander Povetkin
Anthony Joshua has targeted Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte in his pursuit of an opponent for his April 13 date at Wembley after clinically defeating Alexander Povetkin. He showed greater maturity and further signs of improvement as he absorbed the Russian’s aggression before adapting and ruthlessly stopping him in the seventh round to retain his WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles.
Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints renew rivalry and other key storylines in Week 3
One of the most heated rivalries in the NFL resumes on Sunday with an explosive NFC South showdown. The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons have Super Bowl aspirations, but both are working through early-season issues that have the potential to derail their campaigns. For the Saints, a defence that was much improved last year has so far regressed in a major way and been the main culprit for the team nearly being 0-2.
2018 NFL Injury Report: September 4
Finally, the preseason is over and we will have real football games in a matter of days. Fantasy GMs should be finishing up their drafts and those who still have yet to draft will have the fortune of knowing that a premier running back can be taken off the board due to a season-ending injury. There is always risk when drafting several days before the start of the season because players can be lost for good, as we just saw over the weekend.
NCAA amends fair catch rule on kickoffs
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A fair catch on a kickoff received inside the 25-yard line will result in a touchback next season after a proposed rule change was approved by the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel. The NCAA announced Friday the adoption of several rule changes, including changes aimed at moving games along. The most notable involved kickoffs, which both college and professional football rule-makers acknowledge produce an inordinate number of injuries.
Eagles' Corey Clement celebrates Super Bowl victory with a massive tattoo
Corey Clement joined the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the 2017 NFL season as an undrafted free agent and he ended up playing a huge role for the team down the road. The 23-year-old saw quite a bit of action throughout the year despite being a rookie in a crowded backfield, but his biggest performance of his career came on the night of Super Bowl LII.
Jimmy Kimmel tricked Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement into thinking the Eagles traded Carson Wentz
The Philadelphia Eagles captured their first Super Bowl title in franchise history this past weekend as they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33. Not only did the Eagles beat the reigning champion New England Patriots of all teams to capture the Vince Lombardi Trophy, but they did it with their backup quarterback.

2017 Fantasy Football Waiver Report: September 8
I was concerned I wouldn’t have much to write about for the Friday edition of the Waiver Report, since there doesn’t tend to be a whole lot of news in Week 1. I guess I didn’t need to worry. While the unexpected bye for the Dolphins and Buccaneers threw a wrinkle in the plans of many fantasy owners, hopefully you can replace any starters from those teams with players from your bench or from Tuesday’s Waiver Report. Today’s waiver report will focus on players who have been in the news since Tuesday.
Real Time Fantasy Sports: All-Pro League Draft

I entered a few leagues in each format and on Wednesday night I took part in my first All Pro league draft. The All Pro league draft is your typical 12-team PPR format that many of you already play with your friends, co-workers and family.
Eagles' 53-Man Roster Prediction
PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) – It’s T minus two weeks until training camp and just over seven weeks before you find out who will make up the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles roster but why wait until Sept. 3 to find out?
2016 NFL WEEKLY GAME PREVIEWS: WEEK 3
Published: Sep 21, 2016 There have been 20 games decided by seven or fewer points through two games, the second most ever (23 in 2013). A total of 247 players caught a pass in Week 16, the most in NFL history (242 in Week 12 last year). J.J. Watt had a sack and a half to give him 76 sacks in 82 games. He’s the second fastest player to get tot 75 sacks behind only Reggie White (75 in 62 games). Some articles to check out. Week 2 snap counts. Week 2 hot takes. Week 2 Game Recaps from Jeff Mans.
Fantasy Football Trade Market: Week 9
Quarterback Joe Flacco, Ravens It has been a rough year for Ravens fans. The team has suffered debilitating injuries on their defense, lost several close games, and now Steve Smith Sr. is done for the season and possibly his career. Everything is a mess, but behind a 2-6 record is a pretty decent football team. Sadly, from a fantasy perspective, there isn’t a whole lot of light shining on the situation. With the loss of Smith, the Ravens have lost their greatest weapon.
Right, Wrong Or Indifferent?: Lessons From Week 4
Check this out. Getting to pen “Right, Wrong or Indifferent: The Sit-in Judgment of Jeff Mans Piece” was not only a one week assignment – I get to do this for 17 full weeks. Load, aim, fire, repeat! So, each week I will be going over Jeff’s rankings and opinions and, well, telling it like it is. Just so I do not seem like I am a Jeff Mans sycophant, I will pepper this piece with a few of my own masterpieces and pieces of [use a word for dung] from the past week.
Draft Guide: NFL Training Camp Battles
Published: Jul 30, 2015 No. 2 Running Back David Johnson vs. Stepfan Taylor vs. Kerwynn Williams We already know that Andre Ellington will be the top dog in this backfield, but given his lack of durability, where does the team go next? Both Taylor and Williams have shown some talent in limited doses, but neither has done enough to warrant standing out.
2015 Fantasy Football: New Faces In New Places
There was a flurry of activity throughout the NFL this offseason. There were a number of free agent signings, veteran releases, suspensions and even trades that landed some key fantasy players in new locations. So, let’s take a few minutes to reacquaint ourselves with these players in their brand new homes. DeMarco Murray, RB, Philadelphia Eagles There is little doubt that DeMarco Murray propelled thousands of fantasy owners to a Championship in 2014.
