Direct Characterization of Polysaccharides with In-Source Derivatization and Tandem Mass Spectrometry
Polysaccharide structural characterization is challenging due to the complex heterogenous nature and the limitations of time-consuming sample pretreatment and analytical methods. This study introduces an ambient ionization mass spectrometry strategy enabling direct, high-throughput characterization of polysaccharides with online methylation with an excited-state molecular beam in a direct analysis in real time (DART) ion source.
Association of serum selectins with outcomes in older adults following hip fracture surgery: a 3-year follow-up study
Abstract Background: Hip fractures represent a critical public health challenge for older adults, often leading to severe mobility decline and high long-term mortality. Selectins (E-, L-, and P-selectin) are cell adhesion molecules that play complementary roles in inflammation, hematopoiesis, and bone remodeling; however, their prognostic value in orthopedic trauma remains largely unexplored.
AZD6738 reverses the LPS-induced corneal inflammatory transcriptional program through a conserved transcription factor network converging on NF-κB
Abstract Background: Vision loss in bacterial keratitis arises primarily from the host inflammatory response rather than the infection itself, and antimicrobial resistance narrows the benefit achievable with antibiotics alone. AZD6738, an inhibitor of ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related kinase (ATR), suppresses lipopolysaccharide (LPS)- induced corneal inflammation in mice, but the transcriptional basis of this effect is uncharacterized.
Targeting Mitochondrial Complex I Protects Against Palmitic Acid–Induced Endothelial Dysfunction
1 Introduction Endothelial dysfunction induced by elevated free fatty acids (FFAs) represents a key and early event in the pathogenesis of diabetic macrovascular complications, contributing to disease initiation and progression. Vascular injury caused by elevated FFAs is closely associated with the overproduction of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS), making the restoration of mitochondrial redox homeostasis a crucial therapeutic strategy for vascular diseases [1, 2].
Engineering a dual-antigen mRNA vaccine to restore immune control in chronic hepatitis B
Abstract Therapeutic vaccination for chronic hepatitis B (CHB) remains challenging, as persistent immune tolerance to hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) impedes anti-HBsAg seroconversion. Here we show that screening antigen combinations incorporating HBsAg identifies preS1-HBsAg as the optimal pairing.

Single-iron catalyst with heterogenized TEMPO for selective toluene electrooxidation to benzaldehyde at low potentials
Abstract Toluene electrooxidation offers a sustainable route for the synthesis of valuable oxygen-containing chemicals, but existing methods often rely on strongly acidic or basic electrolytes, high cell voltages, or soluble mediators that complicate catalyst separation and increase waste.

Antibiotic membranes with broad-spectrum antibacterial properties for efficient molecular separations - Nature Water
Abstract Membrane separation provides an efficient alternative to alleviate water scarcity. However, it remains challenging to mitigate membrane fouling, especially biofouling, and surpass performance trade-off limitation. Here we report an antibiotic membrane with broad-spectrum antibacterial properties for highly permeable and selective water purification.

Memory‐Dynamic Event‐Based Controller With Additive‐Memory Time‐Delay for Cyber‐Physical Systems Under DDoS Attacks
This paper tackles the challenge of designing a memory-dynamic event-triggered output feedback controller for cyber-physical systems (CPSs) under distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. First, we consider the impact of hybrid time delays on communication networks and focus on DDoS attacks that can continuously paralyze the network.
Complete Coverage Path Planning for Wind Turbine Blade Wall-Climbing Robots Based on Bio-Inspired Neural Networks and Energy Consumption Model
1. Introduction With the rapid expansion in the use of wind energy [1], the inspection and maintenance of wind turbines have become increasingly critical, particularly as turbine sizes grow [2] and as they operate in harsh environments such as offshore wind farms and deserts [3,4]. Among the turbine components, blades are the most challenging to inspect due to their large size, complex geometry, and exposure to environmental factors.

Mitochondrial nanoprobe for precise cellular and drug analysis via graph Neural network
Mitochondria, often referred to as the cellular powerhouses, are crucial organelles involved in energy generation, metabolism, apoptosis, and cellular signaling. Disruptions in mitochondrial function can significantly impact cellular health, as evidenced by alterations in their morphology and dynamics [1], [2], [3]. These changes make mitochondrial analysis integral to cellular health assessment, essential in pharmaceutical development and toxicity evaluation [4], [5], [6].
New Health Indicator Construction and Fault Detection Network for Rolling Bearings via Convolutional Auto-Encoder and Contrast Learning

SPHK1 potentiates colorectal cancer progression and metastasis via regulating autophagy mediated by TRAF6-induced ULK1 ubiquitination - Cancer Gene Therapy
Abstract A sphingolipid metabolite regulator, sphingosine kinase 1 (SPHK1), plays a critical role in the development of colorectal cancer (CRC). Studies have demonstrated that invasion and metastasis of CRC are promoted by SPHK1-driven autophagy. However, the exact mechanism of SPHK1 drives autophagy to promote tumor progression remains unclear.

Nonreciprocal cavity dark-state polariton and quantum statistics
Abstract Optical nonreciprocity plays an essential role in optical information communication and information processing. Based on electromagnetically induced transparency, a nonreciprocal cavity dark-state polariton (DSP) could be achieved using spin-biased cold atoms. The DSP induces a nonreciprocal window with high transmission and low insertion loss around the cavity resonant frequency.

RMP Journal Article: Targeted Monitoring of Organophosphate Esters and Bisphenols
Organophosphate esters (OPEs) and bisphenols are two classes of mobile, endocrine-disrupting chemicals that are ubiquitously detected in environmental matrices due to high global production and use, particularly as plastic and polymer additives. In a 2017 San Francisco Baywide study of 22 OPEs and 16 bisphenols in open-Bay water samples, concentrations were quantified and compared to protective ecotoxicity thresholds, where available, to assess potential risks to wildlife.
