How is social media changing news?
Hugely. It's radically changing the way we seek, share and discuss news. And for journalists writing good copy means for social outlets too.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was the Editor of the school newspaper. Old habits die hard!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read. Read. Read. Expose yourself to good — and diverse — sources of journalism. Read it critically. It’s amazing what will sink in.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
The Guardian is a daily essential. As are my various social feeds, email newsletters and Nuzzel.
