David P. Funk’s Biography
I've been covering prep sports, local government, education, breaking news and general assignments as a correspondent for The Times of Northwest Indiana since 2008. I've worked up to six simultaneous beats during that time.
I've written for several blogs and web sites as a freelancer. The bulk of that work has been done covering recruiting in college basketball and football.
I was editor in chief, managing editor, news editor and sports editor for my college newspaper.
