I've been covering prep sports, local government, education, breaking news and general assignments as a correspondent for The Times of Northwest Indiana since 2008. I've worked up to six simultaneous beats during that time.

I've written for several blogs and web sites as a freelancer. The bulk of that work has been done covering recruiting in college basketball and football.

I was editor in chief, managing editor, news editor and sports editor for my college newspaper.

They’ll be the No. 10 seed in the Class 8A playoffs and will host the winner of Conant (6-3)…

H-F lost five straight in a week starting Oct. 8, but felt like it was in most of those games against quality opponents. The Vikings just need to clean up some of the little things. Luckily, they’ve got Brooms —…

Probation does not deny the school or its programs any IHSA privileges but if there are any further incidents there will be “more serious consequences.” The IHSA said it also requested…
