A UNION representing ambulance staff in the region says its members are not being allowed to give the best chance of survival to some patients because of 'performance figure' directives from bosses. East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) has been heavily criticised for telling staff to spend no longer than 42 minutes attending a scene for a Category 2 response, which includes conditions and injuries such as epilepsy, burns, and strokes.
