Inhibition of ACSS2 enhances cabozantinib sensitivity by blocking TFEB-induced autophagic flux in hepatocellular carcinoma
Abstract Cabozantinib, a promising tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), has recently been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the objective response rate (ORR) of cabozantinib as monotherapy is low. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop cabozantinib-based combination therapy. RNA-sequencing was used to analyse the gene expression alterations in HCC cells after cabozantinib treatment.
Epithelial–mesenchymal transition in immune escape and immunotherapy resistance of lung cancer
Abstract Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) drives immunotherapy resistance in lung cancer through three interconnected axes: antigen/checkpoint dysregulation, chemokine remodeling, and metabolic reprogramming. We highlight partial EMT (pEMT) as a clinically prevalent hybrid state and biomarker candidate, and metabolic rewiring as an actionable immunometabolic vulnerability.
Interpretable multimodal deep learning for time-resolved survival prediction after hepatocellular carcinoma resection
Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) exhibits substantial interpatient heterogeneity, leading to markedly variable outcomes and survival even among patients with similar stages and imaging phenotypes. Mainstream staging systems remain suboptimal, whereas pathology-dependent factors and high-cost genomic assays are neither scalable nor timely for clinical decision-making.
A method for recognizing and detecting the physiological state of silkworms based on an improved YOLOv8 approach
Abstract Silkworm farming is a vital specialty agricultural industry in China. As the core raw material for high-end textiles, silk is directly linked to the livelihoods of tens of millions of workers. However, with the continuous expansion of farming scales, the traditional manual management approach for silkworm instar identification and disease detection has revealed increasing limitations.
Evidence-Weighted Heterogeneous Graph Mapping for Symmetry–Asymmetry Analysis in AI-Assisted Electric Motorcycle Morphology Design
You are already at the latest version Electric motorcycle morphology design involves relationships among whole-vehicle profiles, exposed local modules, affective semantics, evaluation criteria, and AI-assisted generation constraints. These relationships are often treated as separate outputs, making it difficult to explain how perceptual evidence supports design generation.
Buffering the constraint: exploring the role of TOE in supporting enterprise digital transformation in resource-based cities
Abstract Digital transformation is crucial for enterprises to gain competitive advantages in complex environments. Resource-based cities possess abundant natural resources and stable economic structures that support economic development, however, the strong dependency on existing nature resources structures in these cities may impede enterprise digital transformation.

STAT3-mediated transactivation of NOVA2 promotes lung adenocarcinoma metastasis by splicing SMAD4
Abstract Metastasis remains the primary cause of mortality in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying LUAD cell metastasis are only partially elucidated. Here, by performing integrated bioinformatic analysis of clinical data, RNA-binding protein (RBP) NOVA2 is identified as a pivotal LUAD metastasis-associated regulator. NOVA2 expression is elevated in metastatic LUAD tissues and correlates with poor prognosis of LUAD patients.

An emerging human eye disease is associated with aquatic virus zoonotic infection
Abstract Climate change and human activities have increased the risk of virus spillover from wildlife, posing a threat to human health. A human ocular disease called persistent ocular hypertensive viral anterior uveitis (POH-VAU) has recently emerged; however, the cause is unclear. Here we report that POH-VAU is associated with covert mortality nodavirus (CMNV) of aquatic origin. CMNV is prevalent in farmed and wild aquatic animals worldwide.

: Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering Volume 38, Issue 5 Practical Applications The study provides the following significant practical implications: (1) engineering guidance for anticracking design in cold regions, demonstrating that the surface texture of steel slag aggregates and the SDYK warm-mix agent can enhance interfacial bonding, offering quantitative criteria for material selection in severe cold areas such as Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia to reduce low-temperature cracking,...
Transcriptomic and proteomic profiling of pulmonary mucormycosis reveals a failed activation of host immune response
Introduction Mucormycosis is one of the most aggressive fungal infections with high mortality and an increase mobility in recent decades, especially during the pandemic of COVID-19, which has become a public health problem (1, 2). The members of the order Mucorales such as Rhizopus, Mucor, and Lichtheimia species are responsible for most cases while Cunninghamella, Apophysomyces, Saksenaea, Rhizomucor, Cokeromyces, Actinomucor, and Syncephalastrum cause fewer infections (3).

Da‐Bu‐Yin‐Wan and Qian‐Zheng‐San Alleviate Parkinson's Disease by Activating the Keap1/Nrf2/HO‐1 Pathway to Positively Regulate Oxidative Stress
1 Introduction Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that commonly affects middle-aged and elderly individuals [1]. Epidemiological research indicates that Parkinson's disease has an effect on approximately 1% of the population aged over 60 in European and American populations, with prevalence rising to more than 4% among those aged over 80 [2].

Normalized Solutions for Critical Kirchhoff Equation With Convolution Nonlinearity in R2
This paper investigates the existence of normalized solutions for the Kirchhoff equation featuring convolution nonlinearity and critical exponential growth as defined by the Trudinger-Moser inequality. Under mild assumptions on the nonlinear term, we establish the existence of normalized ground state solutions for the given equation. In the context of normalized solutions, the results of this paper can be viewed as extensions of unconstrained critical problems involving convolution nonlinearity.

Single‐Cell Sequencing Reveals Heterogeneity and Interactions Between Epithelial Cells and Fibroblasts in Post‐ESD Oesophageal Stricture
1 Introduction Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a minimally invasive method for complete resection of early esophageal lesions [1, 2]. Although ESD mitigates surgical trauma and improves long-term prognosis, it also poses potential complications such as bleeding, perforation and postoperative esophageal stricture [3]. Studies report a 90% incidence of esophageal stricture when the mucosal defect covers more than three-fourths of the esophageal circumference [4-6].

Electronics | Free Full-Text | Manifold Optimization-Based Data Detection Algorithm for Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing Systems under Time-Varying Channels
1. Introduction Multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) technology plays an important role in fifth-generation mobile communication systems, enabling enhanced spectrum efficiency and transmission rates in wireless communications [1,2]. Compared with single-input–single-output systems, MIMO systems require multiple signals to be transmitted, resulting in a significant increase in the number of channels.

In Situ Cocktail Nanovaccine for Cancer Immunotherapy
1 Introduction Cancer has become the second leading cause of death worldwide after cardiovascular diseases.[1] Traditional therapies mainly include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.[2, 3] Although cancer immunotherapy has enhanced cancer treatment outcomes, the lack of specific tumor antigen targets and the negative impact of the inhibitive tumor microenvironment (TME) on effector T cells are key barriers in immunotherapy.[4-8] There are a variety of preclinical and clinical drugs that...
