The settlement resolves two whistleblower lawsuits filed against Foundations Health Solutions Inc., Olympia Therapy Inc. and Tridia Hospice Care Inc.

Prison, fine for investment adviser who funneled money to neighborhood pool

Douglas Cowgill worked hard to help his clients save for their retirement. Some he had known for 40 years. They respected him and, most importantly, trusted him as president of Professional Investment Management. Cowgill, 60, was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Wednesday to four years in prison for stealing from those retirement accounts. He did it to balance the books at PIM for federal investigators after he diverted money to his neighborhood pool.
