West Brook High remembers Pat Thomas, longtime teacher and coach

West Brook High School students and staff remember AP Economics teacher and tennis coach Pat Thomas, who died in late June at 72, for his practical jokes; love for Mexican Coca-Cola and white Zero Ultra Monster drinks; and the way he knew each one of his students. Thomas taught for nearly 50 years. In 2023, Beaumont ISD recognized him for 45 years of service. He started coaching tennis at West Brook in 2006, marking 19 years as head tennis coach during the 2024-25 school year.
