Elena Lewis – Thursday 25th June – 12.00pm A West Midlands Ambulance Service colleague has completed a charity skydive in memory of her twin boys, who would have celebrated their 16th birthday this year. Amanda Gomez-Torrens, a Patient Transport Services (PTS) Supervisor in Coventry, took on the challenge to raise money for Sands, a charity that supports bereaved families. Raising a whopping £804 so far, with still time to donate.

This week, it’s their mission to make sure all defib Guardians have checked their defibrillator is ready to save a life. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) can make the difference between life or death in the event of a cardiac arrest. Every minute after a cardiac arrest, the chances of a survival decrease by 10%.
